I remember listening to it every time down and was wondering if they still have it. I want to say its somewhere near Ocala but not sure. If they do what is the station and where is it located?

They used to have bill boards advertising it and its like a pre recorded station that talks about the theme parks.

But perhaps you are thinking of the OLD "Disney info" station? When I was a kid we used to get excited when we got close enough to Orlando to hear this... It was info on parks (er, park -- only MK then) and parking, entertainment, etc. I don't think they have this anymore as Radio Disney has an Orlando affiliate...

I have the radio Disney "list" in my van. It lets me know where to tune it in for all the cities on our trip South. The kids and I love to listen as we approach Nashville, Chattanooga, Atlanta, etc. Hubby just rolls his eyes...

We get radio Disney here in NJ it's 640 AM
The reception is sometimes horrible but my DD loves to listen to it.

Colleen,
You should post your list if you get a chance - or is it already on here somewhere?

Sorry Colleen,
Must have missed the website info the first time around!

I don't think the OP was asking about Radio Disney really. (csgsu: Radio Disney is the network of radio stations across the country that plays upbeat music appropriate for kids and their parents, with a lot of Disney related content.)

I think the OP is asking about that radio station that used to be (still is?) advertised on the billboards once you get about to Ocala. You tuned in and heard all kinds of music and messages about the theme parks. This...

Does that still exist?

Someone posted about this recently and said about 90 minutes from Disney you could tune into these stations:
MK Radio AM 1030
Epcot Radio AM 810

They still had it as of April 2002. As laurabelle said, you can only get it close to the parks. I'm actually thinking of bringing something down next time just to tape a few hours to take back home with me!

My poor hubby just rolls his eyes every time I tune in the Radio Disney channels. Now I will bug him to tune in the information channel when we get to Ocala... He'll be thrilled!

Radio Disney (not the park info) is available on both XM and Sirius satellite radio. You can listen all the way! Good way to justify the monthly fee--you're doing it for the kids!

We've not seen the billboards for the last couple of trips. I really miss it! We loved hearing the ads for WDW and bits about the rides.
