Do they serve wine on the Magical Express? October 2011 --- We're back! TR started!

So the next theme night was chosen as Pirates - Curse of the Black Pearl (the first movie) we are going to see the newest movie tonight :cool1: We are actually going to a place called Cinebistro near us that serves dinner inside the theater :thumbsup2

I had work training/social time (happy hour) the day of our theme night...so when I got home I was surprised to find that Tim had decorated and had the pirates music playing :goodvibes Plus he had dinner waiting for me!!

He even had Pirate gear on (saved from a pirates theme night on the Disney Cruise in December 2010) He may be a little mad I posted this when I said I wouldn't :rotfl:

For dinner we had Jack Sparrow Shrimp (coconut shrimp) and Pirates of the Caribbean Calamari...to drink we had rum (ok white wine). For dessert we had Curse of the black pearl Cheese Danish (warmed up = so good)

Watching the movie got us excited to go see the new one!

Also we couldn't help talking about how excited we are to go on the Pirates ride when we get to WDW in October. Tim mentioned how cool it would be to ride the one in Disneyland one day...so I made him promise we would get to Disneyland on one of our next vacations...sometime soon hopefully :goodvibes I would love to see where it all started!!

Love the pirate themed night and the personalised placemats! :thumbsup2

We went to see the new POTC movie during the week and loved it! Have a great time! :)

What a perfect theme on the night of going to see the newest movie. And Tim makes a great pirate! ;)

Yay to another theme night, I love that Tim actually helps you out with them. My DH just tolerates my crazy them nights, lol. Can't wait to hear what you thought of the new Pirates movie!

He's a good sport :thumbsup2 The new movie was great, we went to see it in 3d and really enjoyed it!! I liked that this one was really focused on Jack

It was a really fun theme night and night out to see the movie :goodvibes
Now Tim is off to VA beach for work training this week - how lucky during a beautiful week!!

I was so surprised when I came home and he had it all set it up, really a nice thing to come home to :cutie: When it comes to the Pirates movies, we both loved the first one, didnt really love the 2nd or 3rd, and loved this one again. I know everyone has their favorites :goodvibes

Love the pirates theme. Looks like a lot of fun. I would have gone for real rum over the wine though.:rolleyes1

I'm glad you liked the new movie. I haven't had a chance to see it yet, but I hope we can get to the theater to see it sometime while it is still there.

Pirates night sounds like so much fun! Your place mats were hilarious. I wish I had thought of something fun like that do for the newest movie. I went with my DF and younger brother to the midnight premiere, and they were both surprsied that I'd only worn my PotC tshirt I got at Disney. They expected me to go a litte overboard. :rotfl:

Hi! I've been reading your PTR, but at work and usually haven't had time to actually let you know I'm following along. We'll be at Disney around the same time! We're staying off-site though.

I love the fact you are doing theme Disney movie nights, if I could only convince my BF to do that with me! You are so lucky!

I'm glad to hear you liked the new PotC movie. I loved the first, hated the second, and mildly disliked the third. I haven't seen the fourth yet, but I was hoping it would be better.

The Pirate theme night looks really cool. Those place mats are great. :rotfl:

Another fun theme night! :thumbsup2

I loved POTC 4...so much that I'd see it again in the theater, and I NEVER do that! :rotfl: It was just SO good! I was happy to see that it was basically all about Jack, finally! And the beginning scene was just so great, him with the King...and the mermaids!!

I won't say anymore, in case some people haven't seen it, but it was SO good!

Cute movie night! He did a really good job and that was so sweet to have it ready when you got home! I LOVE the place mats!

I would totally buy those place mats if I saw them for sale some where. I'm not even kidding.

The pirate placemats rock! That's it, I'm decorating my house that way. I'm sure my wife will approve. :thumbsup2

I am late to this party, but you had me at "Do they Serve Wine on the Magical Express?" They should! It was odd for us to walk on a coach bus and not have beer and wine available, as we are usually in Mexico on vacation. Happy planning!

The theater we went to see the new pirates movie in has where you can eat and drink during the movie...they were walking around with rum drinks in coconuts...if those didn't cost $10+ we would have went for it :goodvibes

I always threaten that I am going to dress up silly for Pirates or Harry Potter or other similar movies, but then I remember I have to sit through a long movie in whatever I choose to wear :rotfl:

I am a pretty lucky girl :cutie: but shhh don't let him catch on

I am glad to have you following along!!I get on the disboards a lot at work during my lunch break...you guys are going to be there pretty much the exact same time! How fun I hope we bump into each other!!

I'm glad to hear you liked the new PotC movie. I loved the first, hated the second, and mildly disliked the third. I haven't seen the fourth yet, but I was hoping it would be better.

Your opinions of the first 3 match mine...so I think you will be happy with the fourth one :goodvibes I do get a little antsy during the long movies like Pirates, but I did good this time!

Another fun theme night! :thumbsup2

I really loved the opening of the movie too..I knew after that beginning I was going to like this one much more than the last couple!! Johnny Depp just does such a great job playing that role and it was great to see him be the focus again!

We made sure to stay after the credits, there was a very short little scene at the very end...DBF wasn't impressed, but I was glad we stayed to see it :goodvibes

Cute movie night! He did a really good job and that was so sweet to have it ready when you got home! I LOVE the place mats!

I think I may have to leave him in charge of theme nights from now on :thumbsup2

I would totally buy those place mats if I saw them for sale some where. I'm not even kidding.

I need to put Tim to work making everyone on the Disboards placemats for their own Pirate nights!!

The pirate placemats rock! That's it, I'm decorating my house that way. I'm sure my wife will approve. :thumbsup2

Just send the family on a weekend trip and surprise her with the Pirate themed house...minus the auction scene...not sure wenches would go over well :confused3

I am late to this party, but you had me at "Do they Serve Wine on the Magical Express?" They should! It was odd for us to walk on a coach bus and not have beer and wine available, as we are usually in Mexico on vacation. Happy planning!

:goodvibes It was the same way when I went to Mexico...even the tours I took they gave us a shot of tequila on the ride home!

So we took a week off from theme nights, Tim is in VA beach for work training and before he left we had a fun filled weekend in Williamsburg that left us exhausted!

I met a fellow runner on the disboards before the wine and dine half marathon in Disney World last year...and we got to meet up at the race :thumbsup2 We have kept in contact since then and I let her talk me into doing another half marathon in Williamsburg, VA. I was in for the medal (my bling) since it was another Inaugural half marathon, I would have two Inaugural half marathon medals...doesn't take much to convince me obviously :rotfl:

We stayed with her family in a 2 bedroom condo, they were so fun to spend the weekend with and I got to learn a little bit about DVC and was jealous!! We went to Busch Gardens with free tickets on Saturday...it was HOT and CROWDED...we walked around and gave up. They wanted me to put my tiny backpack (very tiny, only a wallet and phone in it) in a locker...I didn't bother paying $1+ for a locker just to ride one ride...I said to Tim "Disney wouldn't make me do that" :rotfl:

Here we are before the race,
Her name is Shannon as well and she of course beat me, I am a slow poke!

Some of my friends from Richmond came to do the race as well

If you can see the people in the background have "W.I.S.H" shirts on...a disboards group...I saw a lot of Disney race shirts and Disboard shirts...that was pretty cool to see!!

Let me give everyone a piece of advice - don't do a long race when you haven't been training much...I had trained for my first half marathon and didn't do much for this one I felt  after, but I beat my time from my last one :goodvibes

On a more trip related note:

We still need to purchase MNSSHP tickets...we were trying to decide whether to have them mailed to us and have one more thing to remember to bring vs. just having them waiting at will call for us :confused3

We also decided to pre purchase the Photopass CD...Tim has never really used the photopass photographers before, I love them!

Also Tim's mom gave us a Piggy Bank to put some money aside for our trip...so I decided to convince Tim to put $1 in a day with me...I said "we feed the pig now...he will feed us later" so we are going to use the money we save towards our food at WDW :goodvibes

Wow on doing a half marathon without much training and how cool that you beat your last time! :worship:

Yay on going to Busch Gardens and purchasing the PhotoPass CD! I love the Piggy Bank idea.

Shannon, I love the piggy bank idea!

Congrats on doing another marathon and beating your previous time! :thumbsup2

I loved Busch Gardens in Williamsburg when I was a kid, I think we went there just as many times as we went to Disney World!

Yay for running another race, and beating your time! I don't know how you do it! :worship: I'm having such a hard time with the 2nd week of Couch to 5K...I really think I might have to repeat the 2nd week. :sad2:

When I went to MVMCP, the first year I ordered the tickets and had them mailed to us, and the whole time during the trip I was paranoid that I'd lose them, or forget them. The 2nd year I opted to pick them up at will call, which was so nice! You can get them at any will call at any park, whenever you want! As much as I want Mickey mail, I think when I order mine, I'll use will call again. It's just one less thing to forget, you know?

Love the piggy bank! Brandon and I are doing something similar with our spare change, when it gets close to our trip I'm going to cash it in for a gift card and use it at Food and Wine!
