Do they serve wine on the Magical Express? October 2011 --- We're back! TR started!

Congrats on the half marathon! And I love how you incorporated the Greek festival with your movie night!

Thank you :goodvibes It was a lot of fun...Richmond has so many food festivals there was 3 just this past weekend :rotfl:

My DF loves Hercules, he searched high and low for a Hades pin to trade during our last trip. I, however, agree with you and would have to play Scarbble during the film. :rotfl:

The Greek festival sounds like a lot of fun. It was cool that you got to enjoy it with both of you guy's family.

I thought it was a pretty good movie...but didn't keep my attention (in all fairness I get distracted very easily hence the scrabble :lmao:)

This weekend we are all going out to dinner together, that will be the first time we all sit down and hang out :scared1: I am sure we will all get along just fine

Love how you took your new movie and made it work with the Greek Festival!

Happy Birthday (eitehr early or late :confused3).

Thanks :goodvibes The greek food was so good and I really couldn't have cooked anything close if we did it at home :rotfl:

Sorry to confuse :rotfl: my birthday was April 1st - right before I started the PTR

Aww, I love Hercules! Megara is one of my favorite Disney characters. And I love the music from the movie.

The Greek festival looked like a lot of fun- nice job working your theme night around that!

I do like that Meg is a tough and sarcastic girl :thumbsup2 The music is really catchy!

Thanks :goodvibes I'm taking all the credit but when Tim reads this later he knows it was his idea :goodvibes

I loved that movie! Meg is one of my fav's...I love her attitude!

Did I miss your birthday?? If so......HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

She is a great character...I love that attitude too!!

My birthday was right before I started the PTR, but I love the birthday wishes anyway :thumbsup2

Hercules is another of the movies I haven't seen yet, but definitely need to. A lot of people seem to really like it, I just haven't ever gotten around to watching it. I like the Greek theme for the day. Looks like it was probably a lot of fun going to the festival and eating some good food before relaxing and watching a movie.:thumbsup2

It was good, it falls in the middle somewhere of my likes and dislikes for Disney movies...The greek fesitval was a lot of fun and we were exhausted when we got home, so watching a movie was the right idea :goodvibes

I really need to jump on this Disney movie night bandwagon - our local Greek festival is this weekend, but I don't think we will be able to make it ... maybe we can go to the diner and eat Moussaka first instead?

I like Hercules; I think it is one of the more underrated Disney films, especially when it is compared to such blockbusters as Aladdin, Beauty & the Beast and Lion King.

Hercules is a fun movie. I always like to have seen any Disney movie. I'm sure Phil is a more enjoyable Vinylmation, after having seen the movie, although I did think that Phil looked a bit mean in Vinylmation form.

You really should do the 10k next year...there are people of all speeds from amazing runners to walkers...plus its such a crazy community event...I recommend just trying it :thumbsup2 I am excited to hear what you guys plan for your trip...where are you guys staying?

Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village. Never stayed there before so we're excited! Hopefully it's a lot nicer in Disney in October than it is in VA right now!!!

You should :goodvibes It is a good way to both count down a trip and also see Disney movies that I haven't watched since I was little or haven't watched at all yet! That sounds like a good plan for Greek :thumbsup2

You're right, I don't remember hearing much about it, not nearly as much as movies like Aladdin. I have still been singing the songs from it around the house :rotfl:

He does look really mean in the Vinylmation form, thats why I am still thinking about possibly trading him..I called him the "mean looking hairy guy from Hercules" when I opened the box up :lmao:

That sounds awesome!! I know, it is soooo hot right now, I am sweating at 8 am walking into work from the parking lot

I am doing a half marathon training team here in Richmond that will end with a race in November, so at least half my training will be with a team thank goodness :thumbsup2 But now I want 20th anniversary bling!!! I might need to do it 2 years :goodvibes

15th anniversary donald this year, then tackle the 20th anniversary mickey next year!

For our next theme night we watched

I had never seen The Jungle Book and it was so cute!! I was singing along to the movie and really enjoyed it. I can't remember what we had for dinner, but for our movie snack was Jerky...yes you heard me right!

Tim and his parents had picked up some unusual types of Jerky and we saved it for this movie night...

Sorry to all the vegetarians out there!! The kangaroo was not good....the Alligator was spicy and my favorite and the Wild Boar was yummy and that was Tim's favorite. We love to try new foods and those were interesting :thumbsup2

We have been talking a lot of about little plans we have for our trip in October, one thing that we have never done before and are trying this trip is going to be trading Vinylmations! I love surprises, so I think trading for mystery ones is going to be what I do...Tim is more selective :rotfl:

These are some Vinylmations we have that we plan on trading...thank you vinylnation.net for the pics :goodvibes

This guy is Phil from Hercules, though I liked him in the movie he looks so evil in Vinylmation form!! Sorry Tim I am trading one part of my birthday gift!

This is Mission Space Vinylmation that Tim purchased and is thinking about trading...I hate that ride it makes me  so I won't be too sad to see him go, though the vinylmation is kind of cool looking

bigbabydisplay1.jpg

Sorry Big Baby, but you freak me out!! I purchased 2 Toy Story Vinylmations and Tim got Rex and I got Big Baby...I made Tim give me Rex :rotfl: We plan on trading the baby

I will have to take some actual pictures of our small collection at home and include that next time :goodvibes

Love The Jungle Book...it was one of Jasmine's favorites...she always wanted to just wear her panties like Mogley (she'll kill me for this) but she was only 3;)

I love trying new foods and those I would definitely try!! I can't wait to hear how you do trading your Vinylmations...I have a feeling my nieces might get into that over pin trading this trip!

I had never seen The Jungle Book and it was so cute!!
:scared1::scared1::scared1: WHAT??? How have you never seen the Jungle Book?!?!?! :rolleyes1 :lmao::rotfl2:

I'm just kidding... there are still several Disney classics on my list that I need to see. I just remember when I was little this one was probably in my top 5 favorites and I'm pretty sure the VHS in the cabinet at my parents' house is probably worn out. I'm glad you finally got to see it and enjoyed it. :thumbsup2

I've never gotten into the idea of the pin trading or the vinylmations, but I'm starting to become a little bit intrigued by the vinylmations. I'm kind of thinking I might have to invest in a few of them at some point.

I bet you are going to have a lot of fun trading Vinlymations! :thumbsup2 I agree that Big Baby is scary and Phil is creepy. :rotfl: I bet your Rex Vinylmation is awesome; he's my favorite Toy Story character!

I'm not a big jerky fan, but those three looked interesting. It's very cool that you guys like to try new things and give them a chance. And the snack choice seemed very fitting for the Jungle Book.

We had movie night last night - Lady & the Tramp; the jerky sounds interesting. Where did you find that?

We pin trade; I'm not really into the look of the vinylmation and I have no idea where I would put them if I did collect them. The villain series looks neat, however.

Definitely interesting jerky choices. Although I'm really not much of a jerky eater, so I guess any choice would be interesting to me!

Don't feel bad about not seeing The Jungle Book. I think I've only seen parts of it, but never the whole thing through.

(I also think I need to make sure I see more classic Disney films!)

I don't think I've seen the Jungle Book...actually, I think I might have once, a long time ago, but I don't remember it! I know all the songs, though!

That jerky looks...interesting!

Ugh, I can't stand that Big Baby Vinylmation! Who would ever want that one??? :rotfl2:

I have not seen Jungle Book, either. I know some of the music, though and it's pretty catchy!

Big Baby is creepy anyway, and even more so in Vinylmation. Scary!

Yay for another movie night. I hadn't seen the Jungle Book in forever until DS asked me to use it for a movie night. The jerky sounds interesting :rotfl: I'm not very adventurous when it comes to eating different things but I know my Dh would be all over that!

We ended up forgetting DS's Vinylmations, he has a couple he wanted to trade but oh well. Our Disney Store in the mall by us is going out of business and I got excited thinking I could stock up on some Vinylmations for gifts for DS but the CM told me they weren't selling those off, they were getting shipped to another Disney Store :(

I am almost a vegetarian (just don't like much meat, simple as that lol) so that jerky turns my stomach just looking at it lol

The Jungle Book is a fantastic Disney classic, I am glad that you got a chance to watch it!

I have to know where you got the jerky from! My fiance will hunt anything, and while its a bit too adventurous for my taste, he would get a kick out of it.

That is too funny...we watched Jungle Book last weekend too (although we didn't make it a "dinner" movie). It is a classic and we'd not seen it in a few years and am glad we watched it. This weekend we are watching Sleeping Beauty if Mark gets rained out with baseball.

Jungle Book is a good movie. I used to watch it a lot when I was a kid.

I'm not at all sold on the jerky, though. It was very brave of you all to eat it.

I think I've had each of your Vinylmation at some point. Mission Space guy is cool.

Love your PTR so far...And I love the story about how you and Tim met :goodvibes

Can't wait to read more....
