Do resorts change comforters between each guest?

I'm wondering if anyone knows if the resorts at Disney (we are staying at pop century next week) change their comforters between each guests? My husband and son have bad allergy issues and I've been reading horror stories so I'm wondering if I need to request clean comforters?

Oof. I have no idea - I'd like to think they do! However, I am sure this is probably a question that I really don't want the answer to. :scared:

I don't have any idea either, but, with people having allergies I would hope they would.

Our last trip to POFQ, October 2013, comforters were gone from the beds... They were stacked on carts out in the walkways during our whole trip... Beds we're triple sheeted with a ribbon of color duvet thing....

They do not nor does pretty much any hotel/motel in the US. If you have members of your party with allergy issues, I would notify the resort prior to arrival and ask them to have an allergy cleaning or sometimes also referred to as a VIP cleaning. Let them know it is due to allergies in your party.

I always thought that (all hotels) cleaned those white sheets in-between the comforters...

We stayed at the LBV in DTD last year, and the comforters were more or less duvets folded into these white sheet sets, (not really what I would consider a duvet cover)... but those smelled like fresh bleach...

I stayed at CBR in 2012, and they didn't even change the bed sheets on at least one of our beds (very dirty/stained). I called the front desk, and they weren't even apologetic, but did send someone buy later to change the sheets. Can't imagine the comforters are changed. Honestly the room was way below the cleanliness standards you would expect at most places. Considering the cost and where we were (onsite), I expected much more. Given that, we still loved our stay there, but don't expect them to change the comforters. My kids were the first in the room, and found a dead cockroach in the sink as well. Nice start to the trip. Like I said, we got over it, and loved our stay, but Disney often gets a free pass because they are Disney...

I don't think that any of the resorts have comforters anymore. They have all gone to the triple sheeting that is much better for cleaning between guests. :goodvibes

Even the values? Pop Century? How can I find out? When I was there last time.. they had very faded comforters.. which led me to believe they washed them a lot. I know they said they changed out there bedding there a few years ago.. so I'm not sure what they have.

Alot of resorts/hotels are starting to convert to duvet type covers in lieu of the old standard comforters and that alllows them to be washed more often. The traditional comforters are not usually changed in between guests. Many of them have to be dry cleaned.

Whenever we travel, if the bed has a traditional bedspread or quilt, it is immediately pulled off the bed and put in the corner and stays there throughout the trip.

It's been a few years since I've worked in the hotel industry but I really like the idea of the duvet covers - especially having alot of guests now with allergies, asthma, and the like.

POP did not have comforters when we were there in October.

I just read a review that said they don't have comforters anymore... so if that's the case, does that mean the covering does get washed between guests?

I may call about the VIP cleaning.. does it cost extra?

That is awesome! But does that mean they wash them between each guest?

I was looking at pictures on trip advisor. and there are posts from trips in Dec 2013.. and some had the old comforters and some had the new kind with the white duvet and just that strip at the bottom. But all pictures from January on were the new ones. Have ALL rooms been changed to be like that since December?

Glad to hear this. When we were at POP in November we had the comforter still, part of the resort had been changed but not the 50's, and they were heavy and scratchy. Looking forward to the new bedding this year. Here is the pic of the comforter we had.

So, the beds just have sheets on them (plus the accent strip thing)? Doesn't it get cold with just sheets? I mean, I know it's Florida, but I'm one of those people who likes to sleep in a cool (68 in the summer) room with a comforter, or at least a blanket on top of the sheets. Should I consider packing my own blanket just in case? :confused3

The triple sheeting is a sheet, blanket, and sheet folded in a way that they usally stay together. That's in place of the comforter. Then under that is a blanket and then the regular sheet. So it's basically like three sheets and two blankets.

They no longer have comforters or bedspreads. They triple sheet and use a blanket. As to whether they wash all the sheets and blankets between each guest, I'd think they are supposed to. Do they really? Can't know that.

You can call housekeeping and request extra blankets. Don't have to pack your own.
