I read on another Disney forum that people run to 7DMT after Rope Drop. Is this true? The poster was upset that their BOG breakfast took too long and they were going to be behind the crowd of people running from BOG and the running crowd from RD? Is it really that grand of a ride? :confused3

1. Yes. They deliberately head there, first-thing.
2. Yup.
3. It is that POPULAR and IN DEMAND, yes.

as on other threads concerning 7DMT you will get differences of opinion. some think meh others think its great. as with all disney attractions you have to try it once and decide for yourself. to me its a kiddie coaster and much too short. but i like more thrilling coasters so i am a little biased.

Yes they run and no it's not worth it. I think just because it's new
I agree. We went in Oct. 2014 when they had commercials galore promoting it and we even had adverts in our offside room, so of course we had to ride it.

It was nice. Pretty, beautiful even. But not really a spectacular ride and certainly not worth waiting hours for.

Yes people run. I didn't believe it til I saw it. We went at park opening and they walked us behind a rope. As we got close to the castle they dropped the rope and everyone took off running to 7DMT and Anna/Elsa.
We on the other hand went straight to BTMR and Spash Mountain and rode multiple times

Just wow. I knew it was in high demand...but running??? And the poster talking about his late BOG breakfast said he almost left without the meal for his 2 kids. I can't imagine..."Sorry kids, no breakfast this morning because we need to go on a 2 minute ride!!"

We will do the same...BTMR and Splash. Thanks!

I was at BOG just a few weeks ago (Fri 3/11) and got in line at 7D. I saw the masses running towards us. It was a sea of humanity. Wow.

Is it worth the fuss? Well, I enjoyed it and I think my kids will enjoy it in June, when I hope to either have FP or PPO BOG reservation. But it's certainly not worth (to me) standing in line for an hour+ or running to it at RD.

Went to rope drop. CMs kept the pace until the end of Main Street then folks went in all directions ... running for A&E and 7DMT.

So yes there will be running, cutting off, strollers clipping your feet, fastest runner in line in front of you joined by whole families who walked ....

Booked PPO BOG with early access to 7DMT.

Yes folks will book BOG, only order a cupcake or not eat their food so they can get on the ride, hopefully ahead of the rope drop folks and hopefully several times. Yes folks will get ugly with CMs if their plan is thwarted.

And we wonder why Disney thinks folks will pay for Extra Hour Access ..... :scratchin

I have an early (PPO) BOG reservation AND a fp for Peter Pan, then 7D. Yes, it would be nice to eat (we plan to eat, and more than a cupcake) then be able to get towards the front of the 7D line, but I'm not going to "fight" for it. We'll go ride something else, ride PP, then have an hour to get on 7D. Our last fp is for Space Mtn., then we're outta there. Hopefully we can get Dumbo and things like that done, then ride what we have fps for. Our first night is devoted to Adventureland, Frontierland and Liberty Square. We'll do the park in sections, lol.

So, we went on it last week - we didn't have a fast pass and came after riding Space Mountain a couple times first thing. The line said 40 minutes, so we thought we would give it a shot. While we were in line there were technical difficulties and the line ended up being at least three times that initial assessment. It has almost become a joke in our family, because we felt the wait was the biggest waste of time ever for a very short, okay, ride. Nice, but I would never wait more then ten minutes for it ever again.

I'd say they more power-walk until the pace setting CMs leave, then they run. CMs don't allow running! :rolleyes1

Yes they run. My plan is always to Fastpass the most popular rides in each park for around noon and hit most of the other rides before then. I then laugh at all the masses following the large lines around as I go about not waiting longer than 20 min for any ride. :rotfl2:

Not worth the run in my opinion. No one's seen Snow White in 50 years and splash mountain so much more fun.
