Do KTTW cards arrive by mail?

We've never stayed on-site before, and I'm just wondering if the KTTW arrive via mail, or if you get them at check-in?
Also, if my son's name is wrong (repeated last name) on the information we've received in the mail so far, can I just change it at the resort when we arrive? Maybe that's not even important?

You get your KTTW card when you check into the hotel.

I wouldn't worry about your son's name if they just duplicated his last name 2x on the paperwork, but you can always ask to have it corrected at the resort and they will print a KTTW card with the correction.

Your KTTW card is, first and foremost, your room key. So it will not be given to you until you check in at the resort.

One of my family's names is always wrong on one or more KTTW card. Last trip was the best - they used my oldest son's correct first name, but had his last name listed as the last name of a friend who stayed with us 2 years ago. How in the world they got it so wrong is beyond me. We didn't even correct it, it didn't matter. We just got a chuckle all week when we looked at his KTTW.
