Do I need to know when, before calling TA?

I don't have an actual date/ship/itinerary, we know we want to cruise in late Jan-Feb next year, and we want a "good deal". We can do Military, KSF, IGT pretty much anything. Can I get in touch with a TA and just say "hey if you find a great deal in Jan or Feb let me know"? I tried that with one TA and it confused the daylights out of her. Maybe this just isn't how it's done

A good TA should be able to handle that request very easily. If such a request confuses the TA you approach, I'd suggest finding a different TA since a bad TA can foul up your reservations even if you tell them exactly what you want.

And I suggest that you find a TA who has taken the DCL training. They are much more knowledgeable about DCL than one who hasn't.


But I agree, that's a pretty simple request that any TA should be able to handle.

Yes, a TA can do it. But for something like that I wouldn't leave it to a TA. That info is here on the boards so I would check here or on DCL website, so as not to miss something. You are basically looking for last minute type specials.

I had sent in an email request from one of the popular Disney TA's- I have planned our last 3 cruises myself and 1 WDW trip w/o a TA, but the OBC sure is tempting Thanks for the replies, at least I know it IS possible.
