We are heading out on a Disney cruise in a couple months. This is our first Disney cruise. I read online that they provide shampoo and conditioner. Are they sample sizes? Is it enough for someone with long hair and is it any good? Trying to decide if I need to bring my own. Ty for your time :)

I've never been on a cruise but the shampoo at the Disney resorts is good stuff. I've never had a hard time getting plenty of bottles for the whole family.

2 oz size and it is by H2O, imo very good stuff. you get shampoo and a separate conditioner as well as a body lotion.
the shampoo smells like the sea.
eta, if you need more than what they left you you only need to ask your room steward and they will bring you more.

Thank you so much!

My hair is down to my waist almost and I use the room shampoo. Your room steward services room twice a day so you can get 2 shampoos a day in theory (put one away after he's made the room up in the morning) but I found 1 is perfectly fine for my length - and actually a little too much so tend to use 2 over 3 days

Thank you. The problem with my hair is it soaks it up so I usually have to use more than most people. Thank you for the information!

I have long thick hair, so the room steward, after I ask, will leave as much as you need. Trust me, my mom often joked while I was growing up that they were going broke with just shampoo and conditioner for my hair, lol.

I really like the shampoo, and also have very thick long hair. If you look on the disney store website, they sell it for about 24.99 for a 12.5 fl.oz. bottle, so it's definately not the cheap stuff. The list of ingredients is in the product info if you were interested in that too. The scent isn't something I'm normally into, it's a clean menthol type of scent, but after using it during our past cruises I LOVE the smell! I always bring a bottle home with me.

It's nice and they will definitely give you enough. But, unpopular opinion alert here, I was not a fan of the way it smelled, so I was glad that I had brought my own. DD and DH liked it though and they replenished the supply every day for us. I much prefer the WDW resort orange smelling stuff, but that's just me. :)

There is different shampoo and conditioner in the locker room showers in the spa area. They are very good also.

DCL uses the H2O+ Sea Marine line. If you have an Ulta or Beauty Brands near you, you can pick up a inexpensive sample to see how it works for you, and decide whether you should take your own shampoo.

Me too! I was not a fan. I know that is the unpopular opinion, but I was thankful for my travel sized Redken bottles. :)

The only issue with bringing your own is the liquid limits through TSA (if you're doing carry ons only).. I think the cruise gives decent toiletries.

If you have hair that may require special care (frizzies, color-treated, etc.) I'd bring your own. I'd never get a comb through my hair without good conditioner so I always bring my own because I know it works! Not a fan of teeny, tiny bottles either. :-)

Although I wasn't a fan of the smell, it was wonderful for my long, thick, frizz-prone hair. It rinses very clean and the conditioner is excellent. I found one bottle would last at least 2-3 washes, but as others have mentioned, your room steward will replace it twice a day. I brought a stash back with me. :)

H2O Spa stuff is the best! I would buy it if it wasn't so expensive.
I hoard it when cruising and use it for travel ;)
They will put more out everyday.....at least they have for us
