Do I need a replacement AP card??

Was in WDW last month. Purchased AP's prior to visit. AP's linked to MB's. Back at home now and think I threw out AP cards.

Wanted to sign up for the AP magazine but can't cuz I don't have the #.

But more importantly..... We'll be heading back in Nov. Won't our AP's be linked to our MB's anyway? Do I need the physical card? MDE shows our AP's. No doubt I'd love to have a card that says Annual Passholder on it. I can't have one mailed to me, right?

If your AP's are linked to your MDE account then all you have to do is go to the Annual Passholders section of your MDE account and sign up for the newsletter.

We bought AP's in December, went to WDW in January and March, and never had to use our AP's for park entry. We were able to get the AP discount when dining at eligible restaurants without showing our AP's. The only time you might need the actual card would be for free parking and for merchandise discounts.

So when you attached your AP to the Magic Bands you tossed the original ticket? If that is the case you are going to have to have them replaced. Esp since if for some reason the MB give you a problem you would still have the original ticket to show and you have to show that AP ticket as a way to get AP discounts in stores restaurants etc..

Ordered via phone prior to trip. Activated MB's at MK Will call. Showed ID and CC and received cards. Was a crazy trip.....(.broke leg day before arrival and left Disney early.......faced surgery back home)....guess my mind wasn't on cards at time (might have been thinking they were only room keys and threw them away).

So.....would they mail a new card out or will I need to wait til Nov and show ID and CC?

We got offered the new magic bands for AP and when they came they included an AP discount card for each person with each name to use for the discounts food shopping etc.

You might call and see if they will mail you the discount cards.

Since it appears as if you have the active passes linked to MDE, go to the 'MagicBands and Cards' page on the MDE website and there should be an open order for MagicBands for the Passholder affiliation.

As for a replacement AP Card, that can only be done at WDW.

The AP Card can be replaced for free. There may be (reportedly) a $50 fee to replace the MagicBand issued for being a passholder.

So glad you found your passes.
I am confused, now, about my passes or discount cards. So the cards I have are actual APs (yes, we attached them to MDE) that you show for discounts or are they discount cards only? The new lingo has me confused.
I am also confused that three of our cards have a red stripe and say "parking 2013-2014" on the back but mine has a black stripe and says "2013-2014." Why is mine different and should I worry? (I mean the kids can park; but I, a licensed adult, can not? )

I keep our APs in the side pocket of the suitcase I put them in there when I'm unpacking once we are home. The suitcase goes with me and I always know where the APs are. When packing for the next trip, I pull them out and put in my wallet.
