Do hotels change the bedsheets??

We stayed at a Drury Inn in CO for a week. They asked us at check in if we'd like housekeeping each day or if not, they'd give us extra points. I said housekeeping only on day 4 and the other days, we found a bag with clean towels and little soaps on our door. Works for me!!

I guess I live life on the edge: i spend about 75ish nights per year in hotels or on cruise ships. I've never looked for bed bugs, I drink from the glasses and walk barefoot in the room and don't stress about this stuff.

As far as changing sheets? I assume the thread title meant between guests--but one of the pp's talks about daily. Yeah, short of a spill which I would tell them about, I would rather not be responsible for the enviornmental impact of having sheets I am using changed daily for me.

I put a "Do Not Disturb" sign outside my door to discourage my sheets to be changed daily for a few days. Works great for the environment. I know housekeeping sometimes gets upset because it's lost tips... then again, it gives them an extra 5 or 10 minute break in their morning as they can work on to other rooms.

most hotels we stay at don'T change sheets daily (or towels if left to dry hanigng). I know some chains have those sigsn but seem to change them anyway---but thre are plenty of places we stay where they even have signs that they only change them once a week if the same guest is in the room and to notify them if that is not sufficient.

Ha. Lost tips. That's a good one. Depending on the size of the room and the neatness (or lack there of) it takes a minimum of 15 mins to do a room properly. A No Service will actually cost a maid time because she will have to travel to another floor to make up the room. Unless it's extremely slow there are no "gimmes."

We do the same and it comes down when we leave. We might ask for extra towels. It's easy enough for us to make the bed and pick up. We bring our own soaps and shampoos along don't even touch what's there. And we don't sanitize the place at all. Even walk in bare feet.
