Do any off-site hotels offer continuous/multiple shuttle runs?

Greetings from Arkansas -

I was wondering if any off-site hotels offered continuous/multiple shuttle times to/from the parks.

Thank you,

Larry

As far as I know, the best you're going to do is 3-4 buses in the morning and another 3-4 in the afternoon (some hotels may offer more). None of the off-site hotels will provide buses every 20 minutes like the on-site Disney hotels will. Most will share buses with other hotels, so if you're at the last stop, you may not get a seat if you're travelling at a peak time.

Also, I don't believe any of the off-site shuttles start early enough to get you to the parks before or even at rope drop. They usually start at 9am or so, at least the ones I looked into when we stayed off-site last May. We ended up renting a car as it's a quick & easy ride from many many hotels to the parks.

Good luck!

The next best transportation option is stay in one the DTD hotels and they suppose to run every thirty minutes.

I would rent car if I am staying offsite unless I am staying one of the DTD hotels myself.

Agreed: if I wasn't in a Disney resort proper, I'd rent a car. None of them (not even the DTD resorts) run frequently enough for my liking. There's a big difference between just leaving whenever you want and knowing that there is "a schedule" to follow.

That said, some folks also have reported relying on Bonnet Creek, which is scheduled but reasonably plentiful.

Our first off-site trip we tried using the hotel shuttle. After a day we rented a car. We found that they ran infrequently (as a PP mentioned, a couple of times in the morning and a couple of times in the evening.) We also found that many hotels share a bus. So the bus stops at your hotel and then three of four others both for pick-up and drop-off. We found we were spending way too much time traveling back and forth, and we couldn't come and go on our schedule. The only way we stay off-site now is to rent a car.

I'd love to hear what people who had stayed at Hilton DTD thought of the bus service. We stayed at Hilton Bonnet Creek last weekend, & didn't like the bus service at all. Their buses run once an hour, & stop at all the parks + Waldorf Astoria. If you missed the bus by a minute or two, you could spend close to 2 hrs. getting to or from a park. Waiting for the bus & stopping at Waldorf weren't a big deal for us. It was stopping at every park that got old. If the Hilton DTD buses stop at fewer parks, we'll book there next month instead. If we go back to HBC, we'll take taxis to & from the parks. Either way, we won't want to drive on vacation. We'd rather spend 2 hrs. in commute than drive.

We stayed at the Best Western in DTD the week before Christmas, and the buses ran pretty regularly - about every 25-30 minutes, just as the hotel staff said. We decided to make sure we got on the 7:25 a.m. bus each morning, and it was always on time. It did stop at 2 other DTD hotels after ours, but that wasn't much of a delay.

Getting back to the hotel at night after the parks closed was no problem. I drive over 250 miles per week for my job, and I make a point of driving as little as possible when I'm on vacation.
