Im not sure if Im posting on the proper thread; so please bare withe me. Our flight lands at mco at 8:50 pm on a Saturday night. This is the latest we have ever arrived at wdw. Now I think I have it straight that DME will take our luggage as long as we land by 10pm? So assuming we are on time....what time do you think we should arrive at our resort? We are staying at Poly. Also does anyone know how long behind us our bags should be? Will they actually knock on our room door at 1am?:scared1:

We will be with our children; so Im hoping that this isn't the case. Any info/advice you all have is greatly appreciated!

If you use the luggage transfer service and go straight to the bus, you should arrive at your resort by around 10:00 p.m. and probably no later than 10:30 p.m. Your luggage, however, could get to your room at 1:30 a.m. and, yes, unless you make arrangements to have your luggage held they will knock on your door to deliver it.

If that's not an issue, then just follow the normal process and be prepared for the knock on the door.

If you actually want to get some uninterrupted sleep, you should pack what you will need for the night (PJs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, whatever) in carry-on bags to bring to your resort on the bus with you. When you check in, ask them to alert bell services to hold your luggage when it arrives AND put your do-not-disturb sign on your door. When you get up in the morning, call bell services and have them deliver your luggage. It typically takes 15 minutes or so and the tip is paid for by DME.

One other thing. If your plane is delayed and doesn't arrive until after 10:00 p.m. you should get your bags from baggage claim and take them to the bus with you. It appears that DME will grab them--eventually--if you have them tagged, but there is not much evidence to show just how reliable or efficient that process is.

Thank you so much. You answered all of my questions +. So nice that DME takes care of the service tip! I would've never known!
