We just stayed at GCH and had a cabana at DLH - they are still offering the shuttle since not all the pools are open at GCH. The shuttle was super easy and quick

Going in July during the D23 Expo. Saved a few bucks on the hotel through the D23 Expo convention rate they had going so we decided to take a day by the pool. My daughter has never even been in the Disney Hotel pools yet. We usually just run right in to get onto RSR or something. This time we are taking our time since I know the parks will be packed.
