DL walk of magical memories bricks

She told me it would take about a week for our paperwork to be sent, she didn't say anything about making changes/corrections but if they spelled any of our names wrong (we all have pretty different/unique names lol) I'll be calling them back. They said the replica (I went with acrylic) would take 10 weeks and the brick would be placed in August.

ETA.....I did just first names, and I put a comma between the 2 on the first line and the 2 on the second, but not after my name on the first line....so it will look like this

I love reading what people put on their bricks. I thought it was a really hard decision. We went with The Duck Family and our city and state. I have second guessed myself a hundred times. We liked that it reminded us of how they announced our family on the Disney Cruise

We're in C08 as well....ordered mine early Feb and already have my paperwork. Had to hide it because it's a surprise for the kids. Ordered the wood replica, not sure how I'm gonna hide that one...envelope was easy, but a box will create a lot more curiosity!

They say they'll be installed by August, we're going in September so I figure we'll just "happen" to stand around there while I look for something in my bag, lol.....they always like to read the bricks while we stand in line so hopefully they'll find it. If not, I think I may have to drop something, lol.

We're going next month too, and while I know OUR brick won't be there, I'm going to definitely check out the area and see if there are bricks there still or what. Seems kinda sad to think that someone else's brick is being removed to make room for us, but hey, they had 10 years to take pictures, lol. My turn! Of course, in 10 years if they take ours away I'll probably dress all in black and wail.

Edited: hmmm, just thought about it...I have teens right now, so in 10 years I could actually have grandkids...so I would need to buy another one anyway. So go ahead, remove mine but ya better be selling them too! LOL

I was just at DLR last weekend and I was checking out the areas that have been mentioned here. There are quite a few areas right up along the gates of DL that are still blank. So it didn't look to me like they would be taking any out. But it also didn't look like a lot of room to expand beyond that either (which may be why it is ending, at least for now).

I don't think we are going to change ours. I would like to hear from anyone who actually did make changes though, just in case

I called and corrected Ds's name and changed the logo. I also made the changes on the certificate itself and sent that back with the signed paperwork. I was told that I would Get a new certificate sent to me.

I called today to change the brick to The Duck Family.

NO problem. She said they are "gathering" this last group of orders and will not send the paperwork to the vendor until they have most of it back.


I will be at DL for D23 in August, and I am HOPING it will be in by then!

Were they Disney nice when you made your changes? I always appreciate that from Disney. We are changing all of the wording on two stones from last names to all first names. I hope Disney still lets me visit after my changes

Well I had a grouchy CM when I ordered...and just my luck I had the same CM when I called and fixed it. She just laughed about the misspelling. I fully expect for it to be messed up again. I plan on calling next week and talking to a supervisor if I dont get the corrected certificate soon.

I would just wait until you get the paperwork so you can look it over and verify everything. When I ordered mine, I had to list names with commas but no spaces to make it fit. The CM told me that I had 72 hours from the time I received the paperwork to change it if I decide that I don't care for it that way. Since they don't know for sure when you actually receive the paperwork, I'm pretty sure that 72 hours is flexible. They just give you a timeframe so you don't try and change it a month later (at least that is my guess).

Does anyone know when they actually charge your credit card? I ordered mine last Friday and the money still hasn't been taken out of my checking account? Hope they didn't forget about me! Or do they not charge you until you "confirm" by sending your paperwork back?

In order to fit all our names my mom only went with spaces (no commas). I haven't seen the paperwork they sent her but I imagine it looks like this

Does anyone know when they actually charge your credit card?

I used my debit card on Monday, February 14 and the charge cleared my bank account on Thursday, February 17. My paperwork arrived this past Saturday (the 26th). It might be due to longer processing times with your credit card. If you got a confirmation slot, then there **shouldn't** be a problem.

I like how your brick is worded. I want to change mine to have our first names with no commas also. I agree that is will be so exciting to have our names on a brick! I thought they would not all fit so I went with our last name origionally but last night the family really said they would love to see their first name on a brick. We will have to leave our last name off though, sadly. Thanks again!
