DL walk of magical memories bricks

Those pictures are so cool! Thank you for posting them!
I like how your brick is worded. I want to change mine to have our first names with no commas also. I agree that is will be so exciting to have our names on a brick! I thought they would not all fit so I went with our last name origionally but last night the family really said they would love to see their first name on a brick. We will have to leave our last name off though, sadly. Thanks again!

A freind sent me those pictures but I am leaving this afternoon for DL and I will be looking for the bricks just so I can see them with my own eyes. :rotfl: I might even have my mom take a picture of me with them. Yes, I'm a Disney Dork but luckly my mom is too! :rotfl2:

Plus I want to see the area where our's will be laid.

All and any brick photos you could post would be GREATLY appreciated! Have the best time!

commas do not count as a character? I am curious about your layout
I need to find more pictures online.

Was the comma question in regards to my post? If so, I meant that I could not do both commas and spaces without running out of room so I went with commas only.

Hum, now I wonder if I should have just done spaces, LOL. But DH and I saw the proof of it and we are OK with how it looks so we are going to leave it with just commas.

Thanks for the comma info. I would love to see a brick with all names seperated by commas and one with all names with just spaces.
I just called Disney and they said that it is best to wait until you recieve your paperwork and then you can make any changes that you would like, but to do it as soon as you get the paperwork. They will not engrave your stone until you sign and return your paperwork. Gives me a few more days to look for brick pictures! :rotfl:

I just found an old thread where I was on the boards intending to purchase my brick in 2005! I have been saying that I wanted one for years and I am so grateful to the origional poster of this thread from letting me know that I was almost out of time to do so! It put a fire underneath me to get it done, and many of my friends. I have a friend who has had her filled out form hanging on the front of her fridge forever waiting to be mailed in! :wizard:

For what it's worth, the entire comma conversation has been giggling over here because I skipped the commas all together when ordering. Then, right before hanging up, the grammar-geek in me just couldn't do it. I added commas and a "&" where grammatically correct. I know, it's a brick, not a thesis, but that would drive me nuts every time I looked at it. :rotfl:

Those of you who got them as gifts are lucky. I have been asking for one for YEARS. No one but me seems to see the point in "owning a brick in front of a theme park" (as my mother put it :sad2:) or "paying to pave Disneyland" (as DH put it :headache:) so I finally just bought it for myself! :wizard:

I was struggling with the grammar aspect also! Still might be
I do like the visual distinction of no commas. Just because I have 7 names to list and it tends to look even more convoluted
with the addition of all of the commas. I have time to change my mind! I am looking for more pictures:upsidedow

Yeah, seven gets busy. As for pictures... Google "Disneyland brick" (without the quotes). When the search results come back, on the far left click Images. You can look at thousands of bricks. :goodvibes

I will warn you, the more you look at, the more difficult your decision becomes. Trust me, I know. :rotfl:

Does anyone know when they actually charge your credit card? I ordered mine last Friday and the money still hasn't been taken out of my checking account? Hope they didn't forget about me! Or do they not charge you until you "confirm" by sending your paperwork back?

She told me it would take about 3 days for the charge to go thru, I just checked my Disney Visa and it has not been charged yet. Today is day 3.

Me too.....I so hinted to DBF last year for our anniversary but nope, didn't get one, I also hinted for a family Christmas gift to his parents but nope, didn't get it...so forget it, I got one myself! LOL :) I'm glad I did too, I'm excited!!

i think everyone that got a brick this week should con somoene that they know into taking a photo of the brick after it's been laid.. just a suggestion..

I wonder if any guy has ever thought about getting a brick, putting the names of him and the GF on it, and then taking her to see it (of course she would not know about it), and when she see's it and see's both ther names are on it he gets on his knee and proposes to her..that would be a super cool idea for a proposal and also a reason to get a brick! See I am thinking outside the box!

Or go visit it themselves. :) Any excuse to plan a trip!

I don't mind taking pictures for anyone that wants one. We are there all the time, so I know for sure that we will be making a run over there to see ours as soon as they get put in :thumbsup2

Here's the one we got for my dad during the 50th anniversary. The location is great too!! When you're facing DL, it's off the the left of the entrances, so he's on the DL side as opposed to the DCA side. The statue is the replica that we got as well. Sorry it's sideways, the flash kept ruining it. :goodvibes

I had never seen a replica before! Very cool!

Well Disney had advised me on the phone to make my brick changes after I received my paperwork. Then I received an e-mail in response to one I sent asking about making changes and was told that since I had ordered last Friday that my paperwork had not been processed and that I should call and make my changes today. I did and completely changed all of the wording on two different stones. The disney reps Bobby and Denise were just as nice as they could be about it. I can still make changes when my certificates come if I would like to.

I've never seen a replica either until now and I really like it. I chose the acrylic but am still wondering what the wood looks like.

Funball, love the proposal idea and the photo idea!
