if you only had half a day (solo) which Park would you do? I will be landing at LAX at noon. I would then head to Yamaha to drop my stuff off and then head straight to a park. Another kink I have to be out of the park by 6:00 pm for dinner.

LAX at noon? Yamaha in Cypress? Leave by 6:00? Have you been to any of the 3 before?

Where is your drop off and where is dinner? I don't think you have enough time for DL. Landing at noon, with taxiing and ground transpo you can plan to be leaving LAX at 1pm, longer if you have checked luggage or a rental car, and then it's an hour to LAX. If you're getting dropped off, figure 20-30 min for security or 30-40 min for parking plus security. You'd be lucky to walk into a park by 3pm, and you're adding a stop. Knott's is almost as far away as DLR, but it's a lot cheaper for just 3 - 3.5 hours of park time.

I was planning on taking uber from the airport. I will just have a carry on. I fly back home Sunday morning. I can skip dropping my bag off at Yamaha and go straight to a park with my carry on. I always pack light for these trips. As far as where dinner will be I'm not sure.

Just because it's the holiday season, and you're not likely to get your money's worth at DL or DCA at the times you are talking about, I'd have to go with knott's.

If money is no object, then DL.

I'm so bad at asking questions sorry. I will fly out January 27 and come home that sunday

In that case, I personally would go with DL if those are your only 3 options, unless you really want to go on coasters, then knott's.

You may want to consider universal studios.

We don't know yet if they're allowing carry ons to be placed in lockers now that the large picnic area lockers are within the secure area. Also, if you don't know how far you have to travel for dinner, you may not have the 3 hours that you think you have. If your dinner is closer to Universal, I'd say consider Universal instead. It really depends on a lot of things.

Friday late-afternoon/evening traffic in L.A. is HORRID. I have spent 2 hours trying to get 15 miles down the 91 freeway on a Friday leaving DLR at 4PM, and Google Maps was saying that was the fastest route.

LAX at noon, and some unknown location for dinner? 3 hours in a park might be a generous estimate.

I think you'll be lucky to have 2 hours. I wouldn't pay to get into any of them for 2 hours. Maybe just wander around DTD or check out an outlet mall or something.

I agree it will only give you 2 - 3 hours in any park. Are you fine with paying that much money to basically walk around and maybe catch a couple rides? If so, I'd go with DL. If you want to snack and drink alcohol, DCA.

Knott's will get you in for less than have the price as either Disney Park, and does offer Alcohol. (3 day advance purchase ticket is currently $44)

But I would want more than a couple of hours, and would pass on the parks and find something to do near where you will have Dinner. maybe have the people you meet up with have dinner at Mrs. Knott's Dinner Chicken Restaurant (located outside the park), and then buy the 1 day ticket to Knott's, and maybe go back to the park after dinner (depending on the operating hours for the day).

If you just want to snack and drink alcohol, I'd go to Trader Sam's. No entrance fee, cool drinks, great atmosphere.
