DL tickets and reservations - April 15!

So I did go on chat on the Disneyland website and asked if the multiday tickets would have a time limit of 13 days and the cast told me that it would. So I would at this point assume that any multiday tickets must be used with a 13 day window.
Ah, that's very helpful, mlggator22. Based on your chat—and unless anyone hears otherwise—I will expect the 13 day window to be enforced. Guess that at least narrows down my options. I definitely won't be buying a 4 or 5-day Parkhopper, that's for sure!
MousePlanet and Gothic Rosie are also reporting that multiday tickets purchased on the 15th will have the 13 day fuse. The reports on Twitter might be true, but I would be prepared for the tickets to have a fuse, just in case.

I liked how they used the queue it today. They essentially made the entire mydisney section a giant queue it section and once you were in you could modify and do multiple transactions without worry of a single choice and ended session.

This was an improvement over ToD where once we were done with the transaction it kicked you out.

It worked this time, but demand was significantly lower than what it's going to be on Thursday.

@theluckyrabbit - this 13dy expiration issue really needs to be clarified by the DLR execs soon as it's as clear as mud right now.

I'm sure they'll have some obvious language when people are purchasing tickets on the 15th, but it sure would help with planning for the future if they gave clear guidance about new tickets now. I guess the smart play is to assume that the new tix will be exactly like the tickets you would be holding if you bought them in Feb 2020 (excluding the Maxpass option, of course).

Hard for me to justify buying tix if it has to be used w/in 13 days. I really just want new APs and Maxpass! Might be worth going tho, while capacity is limited w/ only CA. We have a family of 6, so it adds up.

Hi - another multi-day ticket question from a former AP - for a one park per day ticket, can each day be used in the same park? Ie for a two-day ticket could both days be used at Disneyland a week, apart? Thanks!

Yes, for the last number of years on my annual visit to Disneyland I have got either a 2 day 1 park ticket or a 3 day 1 park ticket. When I had a 2 day ticket I would go to the main park on both days, and on consecutive days , for the 3 day 1 park ticket I would go to the main park on the first day, California adventures on the second day and then the main park on the third day, again all consecutive days.

For the multi day tickets you don't have to have a gap between the days, you can use them on any days, consecutive days or non consecutive days within the 13 day window, whichever suits your plans.

So if I want to go in December, can I buy tickets for that on the 15th so that I can try for a reservation when that window opens 60 days out, or do I have to wait to buy tickets until I'm within that 60 days?

I havent seen anything to suggest you have to make reservations at the time you buy your tickets so I would think that you can buy the tickets whenever and then make the reservations when your days are open. Thats just speculation on my part however. Me personally if I wasnt planning on going till later down the line then I wouldnt buy the tickets now until i see how the reservation system works and how difficult it will be to get reservations. The tickets are the easy part to get. We dont know about the reservations yet. If I wasnt sure I could reserve the days I wanted then I dont see the need to get the tickets.

My family has a hotel reservation for late July, made it last year when our 2020 trip got cancelled. Who would have thought back then we would still have all these travel restrictions. I’m hoping to buy tickets and make my park reservations when they open up the schedule for July, but what happens with the tickets if we still can’t get in - we are from Washington. Are the tickets themselves purchased for a specific date range like in Florida? Thank you

There's definitely a hotel bucket that's in production but not turned on. I'm wondering if they will take the opportunity between now and Thursday to start that bucket and allow hotel reservations to buy tickets and make theme park reservations---probably not, but it would be a way to fill the hotels and lessen the rush for at 800A thursday.

Another expectation would be hotel reservations are not subject to the 60 day rolling access

Why do you say that there's definitely a hotel bucket that's in production?

I am thinking about this sort of question too. I want a 1-2 day ticket to go sometime next month to feel at home. And then will buy a 4-5 day ticket for July in a couple weeks (can't make the theme park reservation until 60 days out) for when we stay at VGC. And will then hold off on buying for a November VGC reservation for a couple months. Hoping some sort of "membership" will be announced by then. But I seriously doubt it will happen that soon. I do not want to keep having to buy tickets when ultimately what I want is a new AP (or membership).

Is anyone planning on going over the span of, say June 27-July 1? So that some dates are already open to reserve but some aren't? Are they letting people with multi-day tickets go beyond the dates that are officially open, or is it a rolling every day thing? If that's the case, I'm going to be stressed for five mornings in a row!

Didn't have any luck getting past 6/28 with multi-day tickets. And the calendar did not roll one day this morning. Obviously 6/28 is over 60 days from now, so when the calendar starts advancing is still a bit of a mystery.

It's a 60-day rolling window, so 6/29 should come available on May 1st. (Or April 30th, depending on how they're doing the math.)
