DL tickets and reservations - April 15!

My guess is that the app provides a form of sign on to the web either via in-app web view or when redirecting to an external browser so it can skip the login step for you. We do this in the app that I support.
I agree. It’s just people were told yesterday they couldn’t use the app at all, it would all have to be done through the website.

Monday should be interesting!

I see that you can only use 1 gift card or 1 credit card per transaction, but are you able to use 1 of each? Could I use a gift card maxed at 1000 and then pay the remainder with a CC? Or am I stuck with splitting it up?

Thank you!

Didn’t they say ā€œnot before 8:00 a.m.?ā€
Lol they totally did and people are probably concerned about a waiting room. No offense, but I don't trust the Disney website to wait lol
That’s what the website says but I think we’ve all learned to not trust Disney so I’m sure people will be checking for tickets earlier than 8am šŸ˜‚

Thats exactly how I’m feeling! I know what they said, but I don’t trust it, so I will be checking earlier. How early, I haven’t decided yet.

Thanks for everyone's input!

What are thoughts about if opening weekend will "sell out" of reservations as of 4/12? Does anyone know what 25% capacity is numbers-wise? Or, how many outstanding tickets are floating around now?

I doubt it will sell out on the 12th, but while DIsneyland CAN open at 25%, I have it on pretty good authority it will be about 20%. This will be around 18-20K.

Right now, the "buy tickets" button on the app redirects you to the website.

For those who have the charity tickets (a foundation that I'm part of got their tickets in January 2020 and then COVID happened), we got this email (just a cut & paste of the important information):

"We have some very exciting news to share with you today. Many of you have reached out asking about charitable tickets earned in 2018, 2019 and 2020 with expiration dates that passed during the park closure. We are happy to share that all unused charitable DisneylandĀ® Resort tickets earned through the Disney Family Volunteering Reward Program with an original expiration date between March 14, 2020 through March 13, 2022 will be extended through December 14, 2022.

If your ticket is linked to a Disney account, you can see the changed expiration date in the next few days by logging into Disneyland.com or the Disneyland app. You will not receive a new paper ticket; the date will be updated on your Disney account. We know that many of you have given tickets earned through the Disney Family Volunteering Reward Program to volunteers, or have gifted them as part of your fundraising efforts. Therefore, we ask that you share this update with anyone who has earned or been gifted a ticket from your organization."

That's very exciting! We have an old one that continues to refuse to be linked. Perhaps with this new extension it will now....soon. Like tomorrow soon :)

The irony is that most of the outstanding tickets probably are in the hands of non-local out of state folk as most local/near locals will be AP holders. It will be interesting to see though. We had a few tickets lying around for guests so fortunate for 3 members....but need a fourth for unless we leave a kid behind for a day each time :)

I’m sure more locals are AP than out of state but most guests even in state will not be AP holders. I would guess a much higher percentage of people even in state did not have AP and just bought tickets when they wanted to go.

I know we sold some at a silent auction that we earned in 2019, so it was good til January 2021.... I let the people I knew that had bought them then that didn't get a chance to use them that they were still good...

But here's more information, including the FAQs:

To enter a park, all Guests ages 3 and older must have a theme park reservation and a valid ticket to the same park on the same date. Theme park reservations can be made up to 60 days or more in advance, subject to availability. To accommodate as many types of ticket holders as possible, reservations for select dates may be made available on a rolling basis. Check for updated availability. Theme park reservations are limited and subject to availability, and park admission is not guaranteed. Until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks, and in groups no larger than 3 households, in line with current state guidelines. Proof of residency may be required.

Starting at 8:00 AM Pacific Time on April 12, 2021, the theme park reservation system will open, and existing ticket holders will be able to check availability and make their park reservations, subject to their ticket type. Be sure to log in to your Disney account first to link valid tickets prior to accessing the reservation system.

As you prepare to visit, please know that the DisneylandĀ® Resort’s gradual, phased approach to reopening considers the guidance of government and local health authorities, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In addition to enhanced cleaning measures and adjustments to promote physical distancing, face coverings (ages 2 and up), temperature screenings and park reservations will be required for all guests. For more information about these changes – including how to book a reservation using the new theme park reservation system – please visit disneyland.disney.go.com/experience-updates/.

If you have questions, feel free to read through the ā€œFrequently Asked Questionsā€ section below.

Thank you again for everything you have done and continue to do for your communities. We look forward to seeing you in the park soon.

Many thanks!!

Frequently Asked Questions
When can I make a reservation to visit Disneyland Resort?

If your tickets have been linked to a Disney account, you may make park reservations starting Monday, April 12, 2021. The theme park reservation system will open no earlier than 8:00 AM Pacific Time on April 12, 2021 and Guests who already have valid theme park tickets may begin making park reservations for up to the number of valid admission days on their ticket, subject to availability. Guests with 1-Day tickets can view the Ticket Availability Calendar for when they can enjoy a visit: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/experience-updates/park-reservations/#drawer-card-existing-tickets

Where can I find the original expiration date of my ticket?
Tickets expire 2 years after the date of the letter that was originally affixed to the tickets. Tickets with expiration dates from March 14, 2020 through March 13, 2022 will be automatically extended, with no change to the physical ticket. The new expiration date will be December 14, 2022. If you have linked these tickets to your Disney account through the Disneyland Resort app or website, the updated validity dates will be reflected on your account soon. Be sure to login to your Disney account first to link valid tickets prior to accessing the reservation system. Until further notice, only California residents may visit the parks, and in groups no larger than 3 households, in line with current state guidelines. Proof of residency may be required.

Will I receive a new ticket with the updated expiration date?
No, you will use the original ticket to book a Disneyland Resort theme park reservation, and enter the park. The expiration date will be updated automatically and will be reflected in your Disney account. All Guests ages 3 and older must have a theme park reservation and a valid ticket to the same park on the same date.

I am unable to visit by December 14, 2022. Can I apply the value of a wholly unused ticket toward the purchase of a ticket for a future date?
No, tickets earned through the Disney Family Volunteering Reward Program have no cash value. Complimentary tickets cannot be upgraded nor can they be applied towards a package to meet eligibility requirements.

I'm sure this has already been asked (forgive me)......Will multi day tickets be available to purchase ?
How will it work if I have to purchase multi day tic for 3 of us?
This is SO stressful and I'm really missing my AP, never had to worry about black out dates with that. :(

Trying to decide if the cost of hoppers are worth it if you can't hop until 1p. Anyone have insight?
