Oh, and we can use DAS for Frozen ride, right? Since we can't book till 30 days, I'm guessing it may be all booked out and I know that is definitely one she will want to do!
Can you answer a fastpass question for me, too? I know they aren't using the Magic Bands like at WDW yet. Are we able to link tickets though and get fastpasses at the 30 day mark?
you can do this all you have to do is tread bands/ card with the non rider ( every one will need a bend/ card to go in the FP line) but I have done this with my friend who some times can do rides and some times can not. never been a problem at all.Unlike DL, you can't let someone else in the party use a fast pass can you? I know at DL you just get a ticket so if a kiddo decides not to go, you can just let someone go, but with how the FassPass+ is set up, you can't do that, correct?
you are right you can not get a DAS if the ride is down ( happened 4 times on my last trip) you can not ( as of last week) get a DAS for ROL at AK.You can use DAS for anything with a FP. Now the issue would become if a standby line is down you may not be issued a DAS. This has not happened in a long time but when it opened there were issues with that and since it still goes down a few minutes out of the day you may end up walking by when it is down just know you can go back.
On the FP you can give someone else in your party her FP but you won't be able to give it to someone outside your party.
thanks everyone for responding to my questions. We have chosen a day with a very low crowd level which I think will help tremendously with touring. My son doesn't have mobility issues but suffers from a condition where physical exercise wreaks havoc with his metabolic system. We spend a lot of time sitting and waiting for things to level out before proceeding. When at WDW, we have to find cool places to sit and wait, because excessive temperatures exacerbate things, too.

Hi All! We leave tomorrow morning!!!! We decided since we are arriving mid day to start with DCA as we don't want to walk into DL at parade time and deal with the Main St crush to start off our trip. Where do you go in DCA to get a DAS? Thanks!

You will be glad you chose DCA. It is physically easier there because it is generally shaded and there is an easy to spot line and no steps. Plus it is way more obvious where it is than at DL. The door to first aid is right next to Guest Relations also. Eyeball that, so you know where it is. Figure out what you want your first ride to be ahead of time because they will put it on your tickets right when they give you the DAS. Also, I don't know how many in your party but I found it very helpful to get a lanyard with a clear plastic sleeve and put two tickets in the pouch, front to front. The tickets have to be scanned every time you want a DAS and this way you will not have to take them out. You do have do have to take them out to get fastpasses and there is a decent chance the plastic pouch will get separated from the lanyard at some point in your trip, so take a photo of the back of each ticket. If you can buy the clear plastic pouches before you leave, you will be glad you did. Sometimes it is really hard to find them in Disneyland. Have a great time!
