My Disneyland AP just expired, on January 8, 2003 I believe. I am wondering why I did not receive anything in the mail about renewal for this. I live in NH so renewal by mail would have been convenient.

Also, if I have to renew it when I get to DL, how would that work if I wanted to book a hotel room with an AP discount? Would they let me check in with the old one, or would I have to go to the park first to renew it? Or would they check me in and let me bring it back later that day?

No definite plans yet, but DL is on my list of summer vacation considerations this year, lol. Thanks all.

They should have sent you something to renew, Carol, that is weird.

DL does require that you show the AP at check-in so I would go ahead and order by mail -- you can do that now, especially since you have an expired AP, they have your photo on file.

Keep in mind they don't always have AP rates at the hotels and with the packages offering two free pass days and the multiple Fast Pass feature you may be better off with a package if you don't plan on coming back a few times during the year.

Hope it works out for you to get out here! :)

Carol -

Call the AP number on the back of your old AP & ask them for renewal instructions, you may be able to do it all over the phone. My DH & I also didn't get anything by mail this year, but I assumed it was because we moved...

I'd call them sooner rather than later, since I think the renewal discount disappears a short time (I remember 30 days) after your old AP expires.

Good luck.
