Hi Ladies:wave:

Won't pretend to be caught up on this thread, but just wanted to poke my head up before I'm off for a couple of weeks.

I'm sure I'm not following proper process here, but...

-I'd love to get a purple castle tshirt
-And I can't run on scavenger hunts, but will walk quickly when motivated
-I'm looking for a roomate and would love to stay at the Grand but am happy staying other places as well
-And...um...don't have any kind of attire for the meet and greet yet

What am I missing? Already have a couple of DL trips planned for our return: for the DL marathon and the Tinkerbell marathon. Oh, my running isn't going well, but it will happen!

I am headed to SF with the fam in the morning. We are going to check out the zoo and possibly Chinatown and then maybe some shoppng. It is going to be a cool 63 degrees there. :cool1: So excited!!!

DBF and I took a trip to SF 2 or 3 years ago. I really enjoyed the SF Zoo and China Town had some great shopping but parking was awful!

When we we went to get the rental car at the airport they upgraded us to an H2 for free. After trying to find parking we figuered out why! :rotfl: We ended up taking the rental car back to the hotel (we stayed right at Fisherman's Wharf) and taking a bus to China Town. :rotfl:

Just got back from my mini True Blood party at my cousins - basically where we all converge to watch. Gotta be up at 4a and that's gonna bite but whatever. Can't think straight enough to really say anything else other than post this for Becci!

I've never seen True Blood, it's vampires, right?

It's vampires and then some, lol. The author who writes the books that the show is based on kind of includes everything from the supernatural world but the kitchen sink. I'm not a fan of the books but I do love the show.

Hello, ladies!!!!!!

We're back!! :cool1:

Just trying to get caught up here. Let's see how well my memory serves me....

Sarah and Jen/grizzbuzz both want purple tees. Did you get that Mel? I can't remember if it was you or me who was keeping track! lol!

Sarah desperately wants to stay at the Grand. Come on ladies, hook up and share a room! I know not everyone has roomies just yet.

Lisa hates green. Loves tie dye. Why not go with Theresa's idea and make a light green tie dye!! Best of both worlds.

Jen quoted herself to remind everyone of the ideas for clothing for the party. It's also on the front page ladies.

Katie is far, far behind. No worries, it's all on the front page!! lol

Trudi! Yay! Boo for parts taking forever and a day to arrive and for falling.

Rita, join in our group!! The more the merrier.

Jonasgirl, just a few more years and you can be one of us!! lol

Bridget, I'll add you and Lisa/Lisadog to the front page roomie list!

Mel, I will also add the required hunt sign up info to the front page as well.

Jodi, yay for time off!!

Steph, glad the kiddos liked Cars 2!

Carol, glad you enjoyed the PNW meet!

Jen, hope you had fun in SF!

Theresa, you are too creative!! Liar! You'll think of something to "die" for. lol

Daisy, yay for new furniture.

Jess, True Blood is too weird for me!! haha But it's got some hot eye candy!!

Ummmm, ok. That's all I can recall.

Hope you are all doing well. :)

Beth - How was your trip?

Sarah - I have an issue with my heart and the doctors are trying to figure out the cause so they can treat it properly.

So I was looking on the first page and feeling nostalgic. :goodvibes

Is anyone interested in doing the Fantasmic Dessert Seating? I know we missed it this year because of problems with the boat tracks. I am, just wondering if anyone else is?

Today was a long day and I'm already thinking about getting to bed.

I hope you all had a great day! :)

I'd be interested in doing the Fantasmic Dessert Seating!! I think it's the best way to see that show! The issues with the boat tracks continued after the girls trip too.....hubby & I were hoping to catch the show but the 4 nights we were there they were still closed down.....so no Fantasmic that trip!

It really is the best way to see the show. Well, wait. I can't say that. I love my days of camping out along the edge of ROA. I have some very fond memories doing that. But I loved the dessert seating that I did for my belated birthday trip last year.

So today in Chico, its rain, rain and more rain. I like the rain way better than the 108 degree weather :scared1: we are suppose to have on the 4th. That's just too hot to want to go out and do anything.

Well, I learned a lesson today. Don't let your fuel tank get so low that the little red light comes on. My light came on on the way home and I thought no problem the gas station is on a few miles away on the freeway. I'm fine...I thought. With the rain, someone was probably driving too fast and rearend one car and hit another. So there I sat, on the freeway with my light red light just glowing at me and praying that I didn't run out of gas. :sad2: That would have been bad, very bad. Well I must have had a guardian angel looking out for me because I was able to finally get off the freeway and into the gas station (probably on fumes). Won't be doing that again!!!

Ok, I'm having a "I'm an idiot" type of day.

First, the lack of gas in the car incident.

And second, I've been wondering forever how people get all the different little smiley faces that I don't see. Thought about asking but never did. Well lo and behold today I see the "more" button. The button is right there in front of my nose and I'm not sure how I haven't ever seen it.

Really, I'm usually not this ditzy but lately it just happens more and more. :rotfl: I'm just going to chalk it up to turning 40 this year. Just an excuse but it works for me.

I will not be old enough for this year's trip (I am 16) and I won't be the year after (I will be 17) but I will be old enough for the 2014 trip. I will be a senior in high school when I'm old enough.

Too funny about the smileys, Jodi! I'll admit I don't even know half of what we have. I know the codes for what I use most often and type them out that way. But I also go and search other sites for some to use. The selection here is itty bitty! But hey, now you know, right? I would ahve been terrified about the gas thing TBH. We used to have neighbors who watched me after school when I was little and they were the kinds of people who fed on your 'fears' and what not. They picked up on my anxiety fast and we couldn't go anywhere in a ar without them pretending we were running out of cas and going so far as to just stop the car in the middle of the road, letting it coast, blah blah blah. I'm now terrified to run out of gas and I hate being below a 1/4 of a tank because you never know.

Come to think of it. I blame them for how bad my anxiety has gotten.

We've had rain all day here as well. I'm just tired of it. I want my summer weather, I do.

I am quoting myself since it seems as if people have missed it. These are some starter ideas for attire for the M&G. Remember....you should be able to hit up some after-Halloween sales! :woohoo:

I did see that before, but I was hoping for some more simple, inexpensive, easy to pack and travel ideas. I'm not much for dressing up, so keeping it simple is what I'm looking for :thumbsup2 I'm thinking I will probably just design a t-shirt (what's new, right???? LOL)

Is anyone interested in doing the Fantasmic Dessert Seating? I know we missed it this year because of problems with the boat tracks. I am, just wondering if anyone else is?

I was thinking the same thing today - and I am so in!! I'm really hoping some other ladies are into going to Napa Rose again too. I really want to do that this time :lovestruc

That's all you need!!

True dat!!!!

I will not be old enough for this year's trip (I am 16) and I won't be the year after (I will be 17) but I will be old enough for the 2014 trip. I will be a senior in high school when I'm old enough.

Two years, that's not that long ;)

Welcome back, Beth. Hope you had a great trip :happytv:

Lol Beth!! You did such a good job catching up, that I think I will borrow your post. :rolleyes1 There you go ladies! :cool1:

Yes I did get the latest castle tee orders.

Steph, I'm in for the Dessert Fantasmic!

Theresa, I think this year, I'm going to spend my money on a new venue, instead of Napa. Otherwise, I'd be right there with you. I've never been to Steak House 55, and I hear it's pretty good also. Or I will go back to my favorite, which is the Jazz Kitchen.

Jodi, that is pretty funny. But don't feel bad, it took me a long time to multi-quote. Thanks to Beth, she told me how. :thumbsup2

It took me years of posting with this forum host - even before I joined the DIS - to figure out how to use multi-quotes without a lot of copy and pasting. It was so annoying! I was so excited when I fured it out. Ended up making a cheat sheet with screen caps here on the DIS to help people. I only wish someone had made one when I was learning how to do it!
