Ok ladies. I'm glad that you seem OK with the hunt committee forming the teams again.

We will keep track of your team mate requests.
We will honor at least one of your requests.

From now on, please PM Bridget and I your requests and style of hunting. That way we won't miss them.

Style of hunting will be:
1. Walkers
2. Marathoners
3. Sprinters

You have plenty of time. We will not be announcing the teams until after New Years. That will give you almost 8 weeks to come up with a team name and accessories.

So far we have:
Linda and Bree
Carol and DD?
What is your DDs name Carol? And please let us know what style of hunting you would like to do.

Let the games begin! :cheer2:

Here ya go ;)
Thanks Jess!

Hey Jessica, can I get my signature again? (Becci) I promise to save it on my computer this time! Thanks! :)

Hope you all had a great weekend. My two oldest kids left on Friday night for Williamsburg/Washington DC with my parents. I'm a little jealous of course, but so happy they get this great opportunity. :thumbsup2

And today is my special little Jack's birthday. Can't believe he is eight already!

Saw on FB that Beth is having fun at Disney! So happy for them. :yay:

I am headed to SF with the fam in the morning. We are going to check out the zoo and possibly Chinatown and then maybe some shoppng. It is going to be a cool 63 degrees there. :cool1: So excited!!!

Just got back from my mini True Blood party at my cousins - basically where we all converge to watch. Gotta be up at 4a and that's gonna bite but whatever. Can't think straight enough to really say anything else other than post this for Becci!

Morning and happy Monday ;-)

It's barely 10a and I'm on my lunch break at work. That's just odd!

I think Thursday should be tie dye and Monday could be lime green..... :rotfl2:

Works for me :thumbsup2 Or we can do tie dye lime green for Thursday :confused3

I was thinking the same thing. The luau was SO easy to dress for! LOL I'm thinking a Mickey's Halloween party TIE DYE t shirt will work for this one..... :rolleyes1

I'm really hoping the M&G committee has some ideas for dressing up to share with us - easy to put together, easy to pack and travel, inexpensive. I'm a little stumped right now (keeping in mind that I have not one creative bone in my body!!). I like the spooky theme though, just not sure how to translate that personally into dressing up. Help us out, por favore :flower3:

I've never been to San Francisco and I wanna go too............ That's like our weather here (although it's supposed to rain, big surprise, until Friday).

Jesse's school lunch break is 10:15 a.m. - which is very strange to me too.

Happy Monday, Divas!! Here's hoping it's a good week ahead. Friday is Canada Day, so *hopefully* I can get somewhat of a break from work this weekend (crossing my fingers!!)

Just dropping in to say HI!! We are busy clearing out the family room for the new furniture that we bought over the weekend. It was used to decorate a Parade of Homes house. So, we got a really good deal and it will be delivered on Wednesday!!! I am so excited.!!

Hope that everyone is have a good week and a good start to summertime!!

Hello everyone. I still don't have my laptop , the parts are om a slow boat from China.
Sarah has been keeping me informed. Looks like lots of plans are in the works. I'm using my DH computer but it's painfully slow and in the bedroom and i can't keep coming in here or the kids will get into all sorts of trouble. I'll check in every few days. Sounds like a lot of you are staying at the grand.
Take care and i'll check in as often as possible.
Nothing new with me except for the fact that I am officially "old" as i fell yesterday when I was out back watering and lab

ndin

landed right on my left hip. Didn't hurt but my hand is sore from using it to break my fall.

That's even stranger! At least I started work at 5a (got up at 4a) so it's the same time frame that my lunch break would be any other day. But it's just so weird and I don't know if I want breakfast food, or lunch food!

Ooohhhhh! Post pics when you get it arranged in your house!

Yippee!!!
:banana::banana:

So excited...spoke to my boss today and gave her the heads up about the DIS Diva trip and how I wanted to go again (even though it is a bad time for work stuff) and she gave me the thumbs up for the time off. :thumbsup2 So none of this over dedication this year about making sure all my i's are dotted and t's are crossed at work, I'm going to head out on a plane early Thursday morning so I can meet up with everyone and spend the day at the House of Mouse. :woohoo::woohoo: Of course, she did give me the "Are you crazy look?" because to her this is soooooo far away but she knows that I'm a planner so she just smiled and laughed. If she only knew that there was a whole group of planners for this thing.....:rotfl2:

Yay Jodi!! I am so excited about rooming with you again, and this time at the Grand! :yay: I will be leaving my current job within the next month or so and plan to make it a condition of my next job that I get time off every year for the Diva trip; it is just a couple of days after all.

Yippee!!!

That is great news Jodi:thumbsup2
We are not only a group of planners, but obsessive planners. I was just telling Bree that I am totally slacking because I don't have any vacations or even weekend getaways planned for summer 2012 and it's right at twelve months away! I better get moving on it. ;)

PS - Oh and I am on team no-tie-dye. But I think having Thursday as lime green OR tie-dye is a great idea.

Hi Daisy! I'm sure you could find a few to share with. I know SarahMay mentioned wanting to stay at the GCH. A few others too.
Glad your family enjoyed Cars 2. Good luck cleaning today. I know what it's like when the mess seems to take over, especially during summer with all the kids home!

Isn't it?? I love it!

I scanned back a bit and this is who I have on the purple t-shirt list:

I want to stay at the Grand!!!!! I also want a purple shirt please!

Okay, I had a bit of time while everyone was sleeping in this morning, so I put this together on the front page. It's all the information I've seen so far. Let me know if this is accurate, or if I need to make changes, take something down, add something, etc.
Thanks!! :)

I really really really want to stat at the Grand! Anyone have a floor, bathtub or roll a way I could occupy?

Thanks, Mel. I looked it up too and found this info on the Disney Parks Blog.

"These new restaurants will be side-by-side, with 900 shared seats, and will be open for lunch and dinner. Here’s what you’ll find on the menus:

At Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta, on-stage kitchens will turn out flatbreads, pastas and freshly tossed salads. Flatbreads run the gamut from a traditional cheese or pepperoni to a Portobello mushroom and spinach flatbread with pesto, artichokes, mozzarella, ricotta-salata and Pecorino Romano (two fancy cheeses).
Pasta fans can dig into classic spaghetti and meatballs, pasta tossed with chicken in a sun-dried tomato cream sauce, or five-cheese ravioli with pesto and toasted pine nuts. Hearty salads include a chicken Caesar; Mediterranean chef salad with provolone, salami, capocollo, fresh mozzarella, cured ham, roasted peppers, olives and greens in a red wine vinaigrette; and a field greens salad with Craisins dried cranberries, raisins, caramelized pecans and a basil vinaigrette.

Next door, Paradise Garden Grill has a Mediterranean spin with a variety of skewers and kabobs – lemon-oregano chicken, Mediterranean, grilled steak or veggie and tofu served with rice pilaf, cucumber salad and grilled pita, with your choice of sauces to make it your own: Moroccan chili tomato, chimichurri, tandoori-spiced yogurt and tzatziki (a yogurt-cucumber-garlic sauce). A classic Greek salad with grilled pita also is on the menu. For kids, there’s a grilled chicken skewer or a beef kabob, both served with choice of sauce."

I don't know what everyone else thinks, but to me that sounds like the perfect first day lunch spot. Plenty of seating, and the two quick-service places are side-by-side so plenty of food options between the two menus!

MMMMM Tzatziki!

Hi everyone. I am doing well. My friend's wedding was this past weekend so I should have a bunch more time to check the boards now! It was a very nice wedding but I am happy to have my life back now!

Mel - Thinking of you.:grouphug:

Steph - I missed what's wrong but I hope you feel better soon!

Can't wait for the scavy hunt this year!

As for the M&G - I have a malificent costume but I don't know that I will have enough space to pack it!

I will try to buy the exchange item during my trip to WDW in November!

Later,
SarahMay

Flapper dresses, swing dresses....there were a lot of cute things to wear back then! I have dresses on the mind, but I am sure there were capris and stuff.

For villans, yes, any villan. in fact Cruella would be amazing :rotfl: Even something along the lines of the guests in the HM...maybe the black widow???

I am quoting myself since it seems as if people have missed it. These are some starter ideas for attire for the M&G. Remember....you should be able to hit up some after-Halloween sales! :woohoo:
