Love the party descrip!

DITTO!:yay:

How creative are you, Capri? I can't wait.

Cheryl, Doris, Bree & I ate dinner and had a cocktail at Trader Sam's last week. The food was really good (we tried four different items) and the drinks tasty. They had two Tahatian type singers to entertain and it was so relaxing and lovely. Once it started to get dark they lit the tiki torches. And the new DL pool with the monorail slides was in the backround. I do have to say though that seating is very limited. There was a group of ten and they occupied two tables. I would say there is seating for about 40 people maximum in the outside bar area itself. There is an inside bar (where the restrooms are) and it is also very limited on seating. Of course the other side of the building where they make the food does not have a bar has much more seating, but still not enough for a group of 30-plus women.

Mel, I am fine with being assigned to a team. But Bree & I would like to be together and we are not runners or competitive. :upsidedow

That sounds so nice. :goodvibes I wonder they didn't make it bigger?? They had to have known how popular it would be. :confused3

Well ladies, we are packed and ready to go. My in-laws are sound asleep downstairs and since 5 a.m. is going to arrive all to quickly, I am off to follow their example.
I won't have internet until we get back sometime on Tuesday. See you all then!!! :)

Good Morning all.

Lots of talk and planning going on. :)

I didn't go back a multi-quote (although I should have ;)).

Beth - We all enjoyed Cars 2. The kids seemed to follow the storyline pretty well. I hope you and Ruben have a great trip.

Mel - How are you doing? I'm doing alright (I guess, as the doctors haven't told me anything and aren't treating me as it's an emergency situation). I see the specialist the week after the 4th to figure out what the next step is.

I love the theme of the M&G party. Now I just have to figure out what to be and start planning/shopping. :goodvibes

Time for me to start weekly chore. :(

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend.

Steph

Have a great trip, Beth. Remember to be a little bit naughty......... Wait - forgot who I was talking to :rotfl2: Have fun!!!!

Steph - I hope everything is okay. It sucks when you're waiting on doctors and such. Take it as a good sign they're not treating you as an emergency situation (looking on the bright side and all that!). Take care :flower3:

I really want to go there too - sounds like a fun place :thumbsup2

Well...since it is Friday I thought I would make your days a little bit better and tell you all the M&G theme!

:dance3:

The 2012 theme is.....

DIS Diva's Party of Peril

moo hahaha! Be ready for some wicked fun!
Awesome theme! And my daughter Lisa will love it too (she loves the villians).

Jess, my siggie name has been deleted for a long time. How do I get it back?
Mine too! Can I get mine back please?:flower3:

~Roommate and Hotel List~

~Grand Californian Hotel and Villas~
Jen/MrsPinup, Carol/karylrocks, Carol's daughter, Jodi/JodiLuvsDisney, Marie/yourMaire83 looking to rent points for a 2 bedroom villa
Actually I am working on getting a studio villa. We haven't heard yet from Marie so if there are five of us we will need to work that out - seems that there are several planning to stay at GC so I think we can figure it out.

I think we are also going to go back to arranging the teams. Unless I get mutiny. LOL.... For those of you who are new, this is how we did it in the past. First of all, we do try to place you with someone you know. Especially newbies and family, unlesss you don't care. We also strive to put you with someone who has about the same pace as you. We have the "runners," the "walkers" and the in "betweeners." By doing this again, I believe that it builds anticipation on who is with who, mixes things up, no one is left out, and ultimately forms new friendships. At the moment I can not remember who is going to form the teams. As soon as we know, I will let you know, so you can make your requests on hunt style and/or someone who you would really like to play with. Please keep in mind, that we will do the best that we can.
I think that would be fine - I just want to be with my daughter. She is new to the SH thing and has been wanting to do it for a long time!

Something like that would be perfect for our Disney Villian exchange. :thumbsup2

Not that it has to be a tote bag (although it can be). Just something that has to do with a Disney villian....tote bag, jewelry, mug, blanket, plush, poster, scarf, desk set, stationary, backpack, purse, wallet, beach towel, umbrella, poncho, hat/cap....or any other Disney villian item(s) you think is cool and the total doesn't cost more than $25. You can make something or purchase something. It's all up to you!
:maleficen
Ooohh! This sounds like a fun exchange! Can't wait!!

So I attended the PNW Mouse Meet yesterday and it was great! I got to do lots of FUN pin trading, met Deb Wills, and heard some inspiring Disney legends speak. I will put some pictures on FB after we get back home.

Beth - as far as roommate list, my friend Lisa & I are planning are staying at the Grand again. You can call her LisaDog! Still trying to get her to sign up her on the DisBoards

Here ya go ;)

I am hoping that this is the right place to be and that if not you all can guide me to where I should be.
My name is Rita and on the swap.scrapbook boards I go by ArizonaRita, named after Indie, of course.
I have lurked over here for many years, ocasionally making a comment.
I have been to DL too many times to count, 4 DCL cruises, the world 2x and Paris once.
I am not a flake, please be assured and DL is my passion.
What I am in search of is if you still do this, participating in your Halloween and Christmas secret sister games.
I have participated in a couple of them on the swap board and am able to provide references if needed.
I dont swap as much as I used too, due to work and family obligations but I am an excellent "sister" if I say so myself.
If someone could either advise me or point me in the right direction I would be most appreciative.
Thank you so much in advance.
PS~ I love doing stockings and consider them almost more fun than opening the presents.:earsboy:
Rita

Quick hi from me .

Beth~ Hope you're having a great day at Disneyland!!!!!

I'm totally exhausted today :faint:. We went to Huntington Beach yesterday with Devin's girlfriends family and I'm beat today. A fun family day though!

I love all this planning, but I'm afraid I'm going to just keep getting farther and farther behind :sad2:.

The M&G theme sounds AWESOME! Great job committee :yay:. Now I just have to come up with something to wear .

Rita

Hi Rita. I'll jump in here - the Diva exchanges are meant to be fun bonding experiences for Divas of past and present Ladies Only trips. It's a way to get to know each other before and between trips together.

There are always cool exchanges on the Community Board that are open to the DIS community at large - as a matter of fact, several Divas have taken part in those as well (myself included). It's a good way to "meet" other Disney fans. I'm sure you will be able to find Halloween and Christmas exchanges there closer to those holidays :thumbsup2

Rita: since you go to DL often, you could just come on the next Diva trip in February! Then you could be an official "Diva" and join in the exchanges!

Yep, lime green has been on the list from day one. And honestly, I have yet to see someone look horrible in it. :confused3 It might not be everyone's first choice, but I think it always looks pretty good. jmo

Definitely need to use the castle tee again. ::yes::

I don't do green. I have ONE green shirt and it's a DARK green and I wear it on St Pat's day. You'd have to provide the shirtless hunks with kittens who would also cook for me and give me a massage in order for me to wear a lime green shirt. LOL

Okay, so for clothing options, it seems we are looking at: (in no particular order yet, except for the lime green)

Lime green (worn Thursday as the traditional first day color. And for those who hate it, it's not even a full day's wear 'cause you can change for the party that night)

Pink shirt (any shade)

Purple castle tee (last year's group tee)

New group tee - retro Disneyland sign design on teal shirt (it's gonna be awesome, I just know it!!)

Right?

Which only leaves one day left......probably Monday. Since many of the group leave on Sunday at some point, I guess Monday's color isn't such a huge deal. Maybe a shade of blue?? :confused3

I think Thursday should be tie dye and Monday could be lime green..... :rotfl2:

Yep, that's what I thought of. So the theme is a haunted twilight zone full of villains, hot men holding kittens, with a special appearance by Shere Khan.
Awesome. What the heck has the Meet and Greet committee been smoking?? :rolleyes1 :hippie:

:p

Awesome. And I want whatever the committee has been smoking. SHARE!

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for wicked fun! ;) But how exactly does one dress for peril?? lol

I was thinking the same thing. The luau was SO easy to dress for! LOL I'm thinking a Mickey's Halloween party TIE DYE t shirt will work for this one..... :rolleyes1

Beth - as far as roommate list, my friend Lisa & I are planning are staying at the Grand again. You can call her LisaDog! Still trying to get her to sign up her on the DisBoards

he he he ......

Let's see... Scavvy hunt, I am a walker, NOT a runner. At this point, I'd guess that Trish and I will be rooming together at Best Western/Carousel/HoJo. No clue yet. Shirt colors - we could make Thursday Lime Green *OR* Tie Dye day..... LOL I'm good with any shade of pink for the group shirt. A nice medium pink like a strawberry daquiri would be nice. LOL

I know there was more I wanted to comment on, but I'll be darned if I remember any of it now. SIGH. At least I'm caught up. I leave for Convention 2 weeks from Tuesday. I'll be able to order supplies for my swap projects this Friday and they will arrive on the 6th. Told hubby that my birthday dinner that night will be totally dependent on what time UPS gets here. Sometimes my driver doesn't show up until close to 6PM. I'm sending hubby to his mom's that weekend so I can have Friday night, ALL DAY and night Saturday and Sunday morning to work on my stamp stuff. I should be a total stress puppy by then. LOL

:yay:

Rita, this is a great idea!! If you read this thread, and look at all of our pictures and things planned, you will see what a fun time we have. :grouphug:

I hope you will consider coming! :cool1:
