I meant to add too that he is not actually working FOR the IRS he is still working for his tile shop but just working IN the bldg but I guess it is some kind of clearance that people need that work IN the bldg. And like I said I can understand maybe fingerprinting him but it just seemed weird to me the extent of questions that they asked. Seemed like they could get any kind of criminal background or whatever from a fingerprinting?? And I still don't know what "I" would have to do with it?? I mean do they think that a tile setter's spouse is going to coerce them into terrorist acts? WEIRD! I suppose I could see them being careful it just seems so invasive and I am just so cautious about who I give my info to ya know. Esp since lately it seems every other day I get an e-mail from someone saying that my info has been leaked. I guess we will have to just see what happens.

Oh, my gosh Mel, How on earth do you keep your lawn, garden , and pond so manicured? I used to have a nice lawn and flowers in the flower beds all year round . When I got sick Daughter did the right thing and put red rock in for me. Now I just have planters . I did mine with a german theme. Red geraniums, yellow meri-golds, and purple crystal palace. Hanging plants play a major role in my summer gardening now to.

Patty, your yard sounds beautiful too. My favorite color scheme is yellow and purple! Adding the red is just gorgeous. Keeping hanging pots alive is challenging too. Especially in the summer by us. We hit in the 100s daily!
I would love to see a picture of your yard. Your DD was so sweet to help you out.

Mel you must have a huge area to make a dirt track. I bet you are the favorite mom on the block. But again your yard is beautiful. Wish I could borrow it for life .

Gee thankyou. We happen to live in the country. I do love it out here...but it does have its draw backs. Across the street from us is a dairy. You know what that means?.....FLIES!!! Sometimes I get so mad, I want to move. Then I look around and say ,maybe not. But still I do get upset. Believe it or not, we do not get the smell from the cows. Fortunately the winds travels the other direction. Every once in awhile it shifts, but that is pretty rare.
We also have dust. Things get pretty dirty real fast. But that I can live with. We just have to spray things off alot.

Our grandkids do love to come and play. Dave built a huge swing set years ago when Kaitlyn was small, with an old school slide attached to it. We also have an old school jungle gym, teeter toter, and some kind of contraption that when you push and pull it goes around and around. The next thing on his list is finding an old fashion merry go round. The kind you push and then jump on to. Do you remember those?
If you saw the picture of the shop, then you can also see that Dave is a collector of old signs and memorabilia. He also loves anything motorized. He loves to go to swap meets, flea markets, antique stores and so on. So we have some unique ride em toys. A meter maid cart, a little feed cart, a plug in John Deere tractor and quad, and a real quad made for kids. It's hilarious watching the little boys riding the carts around with helmets on. One of these days I will post a picture of them. LOL!

Good morning ladies!

I am so stressed out at work. It really sucks....every day I go in and just do things because I have to and I don't enjoy it at all. I think it's time to start searching for another job. I have a customer in India whose orders and such take up the majority of my time. It is hard because I don't have a backup person and it gives me little time to do work for other customers I have. It's a hard and rough juggling act. I left yesterday at 7pm, rushed home and changed and drove straight to my hip hop class. I ended up having a substitute teacher that I can't stand- she is EVIL and just is this boot camp style teacher who drives me mad. It just ended up making me more stressed than I was. Sorry, just needed to vent.

The worst part is my customer in India belittles me in e-mails and tries to talk down to me like I'm not as superior as they are. I have become more assertive in responding back to them but I don't do it in a rude manner. Still, it is very hard and frustrating to deal with every day.

We went to a park last weekend that had one of those and the girls loved it!! Noelle had fun pushing it as fast as she could, then jumping on.

Marie- score on the vinyl! It looks really cool and I've never seen it before. Are you going to collect the Muppets vinyls? I want Waldo! He is the chaser in the set and is so cute! I also kind of want Waldorf and Statler. I saw that people were trading them away to the CM's in DL. I don't know why no one wants them but they probably want Miss Piggy and Kermit more than the others.

Oh and welcome to the vinylmation darkside! You are one of us now! Mwahahaha!

Here are some pics I took, just playing around The Fairy Godmother vinyl I got at DL was wandless! I didn't know she had a wand until some people told me Boo! I got it from the mystery box in Emporium.

Thanks Beth! I hope so too! Today is really crazy too. I'm just trying to multi-task but it's hard. I went to lunch almost 30 minutes late today because I wanted to finish stuff. I hope I don't end up staying really late again. It really sucks.

Rochelle I am sorry you are having a hard time at work. I feel your pain!! We are having some issues with some of our agents and it is just NOT a fun place to be right now. I am seriously thinking about quitting cuz the stress is just overhwelming. It was always just a little extra job to get some spending money but between the fact that it has been in the red for so long with the economy and then all the BS that has been going on with the employees it is just NOT a fun place to work!

I just spent the last few hours with the heating pad on my neck (had been icing it) but I thought I would try heat and took a long nap and that helped some. Of course the darvocet I took I am sure helped too LOL. But I feel a bit better. I just am really resisting the doc if I can help it LOL. This particular headache seems to be from tension in my neck for some reason. Not sure if I pulled a muscle or slept funny but my neck muscles have really been tight and hurting so I have been icing it but the heat seemed to help so hopefully I can avoid the doc! SO not looking forward to the OB tomorrow. BLEH! HATE those apts but it is necessary I suppose.

Anyway after I pick up the girls I am going to let Shelby get some cookies to take to school tomorrow for her birthday and then tomorrow night we are going to take her out to dinner somewhere (cheap) probably red robin and I picked up a few more fun little things so she would have something to open. We got her a bike about a week ago but I wanted her to have some little present so I got her some gum and mints and some fun socks and just a bunch of little grab bag type things that she likes so she could have a fun little goody bag. So hopefully that will be fun. And then I am pretty excited to go to Katy's orientation on Thurs to see what classes she will get next year. She made honors so not sure what she will have access to but I know she is excited as well.

Anyway that's bout it for me.

Today was a thrilling day of laundry, packing and some yard work. Oh joy. LOL

Not much going on here, which is a good thing since I'm leaving Thursday morning!

And I've had background checks done on me for DH's work. That's what happens when he gets to work on military installations. I know the check was pretty thorough for San Diego since they were working on the fuel tanks near the nuke subs!

Morning all!

So did anyone watch the new show the voice last night? I wasn't really sure if I wanted to get involved in yet ANOTHER new show but I watch Biggest Loser and it came on right after so I said what the heck. It was interesting although I am not sure if I will keep watching or not. I am interested to see if it will move to an earlier time once BL ends in a few weeks. I will prob watch for now although usually I can't stay up that late LOL.

Today is Shelby's b-day and she is all excited. I picked her up from school yesterday and took her to get some cookies to take to school today. I used to get cupcakes but she has such a large class I would have had to buy like 4 packages so it was just easier to get a couple bags of cookies! Then tonight we are going to take her to dinner. I am thinking we are going to go see Diary of a wimpy kid on Sunday with her friends but I have to see if it is still playing by then. That is what she really wants to see otherwise it may be gnomeo and juliet. I still want to see Rango but I guess her friends have already seen that one. Or hop may still be a possibility. Not sure.

Anyway and then today I am off to my doc apt. Just need to get it over with I suppose. BLEH!

Me too! Although it's going to be 90 here tomorrow and I won't be liking that. Just imagine if you lived in Alaska where, in summer, it doesn't get dark until after midnight. Just think how much you'd accomplish then!!

I just gotta say that the Vinylmations are starting to grow on me. At first, I was not a fan. Good thing I don't collect them....there doesn't seem to be an end to them. Of course, Disney loves that. LOL!

I'm home with sick kids today, but at least I am catching up on laundry & Ellen.
Life has sure been busy! I started a new job just before the trip in Feb. & we have been working lots of hours. Brooke is teething and baseball has started for Kaeleb.

Mel~ Your back yard looks amazing!

We are just getting started on ours. Hopefully next weekend it will be nice enough to pour our patio slab. I am looking at ponds to put in the corner of our yard. When we were in DL for spring break he built a huge shed so now the garage just has the waverunners, fridge & freezer in there.

Sounds like everyone had a great Easter. Our's was pretty low key, we went to church and then I made dinner & Kaeleb went to his friends for a huge egg hunt.

Morning Ladies! I haven't caught up yet. I worked again last night so it's now up to 5 days in a row with 2 more to go. I'm so tired and need to sleep but I know if I go to bed to early then I will wake up to early and just be tired.

I posted in my trip report that I made kinda a boo-boo yesterday. I was pricing hotels and was looking at priceline. I used choose your own price and at first had selected just the area around DL but it was turned down so I added the Garden Grove Area. NOT seeing that it included Orange as well. So of course my bid was accepted! I got a Great Rate at the Doubletree in Orange, CA At first I freaked out! How in the world was I going to get to DL with being so far away? Then I read some reviews and found they have a complimentary reliable shuttle to DL! So while I am still not excited I am so far away from DL it could have been worse!

Hoping its not to warm today so I can sleep! I know everyone prays for the warm sunny days in the summer but I like the cool cloudy days when I am working! Too hard to sleep when its bright and warm!

Thank you! I need it. With a large family the odds are sometimes against us. I will never forget the one year when Adam and Noelle were little and we lived in CA, we spent a small fortune on a WDW trip, staying onsite, plane tickets, character meals, the works, only for Adam to get sick the day before we left and then proceed to pass it to me and Noelle during the trip. It was awful and I spent a good part of the trip in the First Aid stations at Epcot and AK and the hotel room.

We stayed at a Doubletree near DL once. I wonder if it was the same. I remember it being very nice, and the best part is, the Doubletree hotels have the more awesome chocolate chip cookies that they give to each guest. OMG, sooooo good.
