"Diva" Trip - "Cliff Notes" p.236 OLD THREAD!

I'm finally all caught up, and I will warn all y'all, this multi-quote is gonna be EPIC...
Speaking of mini meets, I would like to try again for a Pacific Northwest meet this summer. I am thinking about attending this event and maybe anyone interested could come and we could make a weekend out if it.
http://www.pnwmousemeet.com/
Funny you mention this… Greg and I were very close to going in 2010. So, I would love to do this as a mini Diva meet!
Laila got along great with their 3 year old daughter and Adara got along great with their 14 year old son (who I think is gay). But he is totally funny and Adara and him have a lot in common and she is excited to have a new gay BFF . I really hope I'm not offending anyone here, but Adara watches those movies where the girls have a fun, gay BFF and always wanted a friend like that, so now she's happy ;).
I’m so happy for Adara, I had a gay (male) BFF in High School, also one of our good friends (female) came out after HS ended (but it was not really a surprise, as it usually isn’t) Anyway, reading this gave me the warm fuzzies. Mine still lives in Florida (I’m in Utah) and is the coolest.person.EVER.
And, yes, I am officially the strangest Mormon ever. Reigning champ. My feelings for gay rights and marijuana reform are sure to keep me undefeated, LOL.
I hope she has a BFF like I did, that man is like family to me. It’s indescribable.
I really need to find something to do on my days off, it gets ridiculous when I'm suddenly spending half of the day in bed. The cats like it though.
LOL, I’m the same way. And when I spend more than 6 straight hours in bed, my hound dog and cat are in heaven. Such lazy animals…
You sound like my sister-in-law. If it drops down into the 70's she's freezing and will wear her thermals.
I’m from the tropics, so this sounds like me. Everyday at work, people are walking around in short sleeves… and I am in long sleeves with a jacket and sweater. When it gets quiet around here, I put a blanket on my shoulders on top of that!
I'm doing my taxes right now (whew, not as bad as I feared but I really need to change my withholding so I don't owe next year)
That’s what happened to me this year, too. I had it at a 4 (we don’t have kids, so I think it should have been a 1) and we owe over $600. It’s now at a 0, so we will probably get back more like $1500 (maybe this is wishful thinking) next year.
Yup, it's on the photopass:

pu.gif
CUTE!! I love the purple shirts :lovestruc Maybe I need to do Photopass.. although, I bet I’m only in 4 photos… I’d love to add a border and then frame one of these pics in the frame I got at the meet & greet.
Colton ate some candy (always gets some for going to the DR) on the way to the Dr and it turned his tounge blue. I told him he should have saved it for after as they were going to think he had some weird disease..he just laughed at me.

When the Dr looked down his throat he asked Colton "have you been hanging out with any whitetail deer lately?" Colton makes one of his faces and says "No" then the Dr says "Are you sure? It looks like you have blue tounge disease and I thought only Whitetail deer got that." Colton looked at him and said

"Look I am absolutely CERTAIN I have not been hanging out with any deer I just ate a baby bottle pop!"
LOL, I seriously love the things he says, what a funny lil guy!
I saw this picture online and thought it was so cute. Someone had the caricature artists in DL sketch this. It's so creative and cute! :)

OMG, swoon, this is too cute!
I just got back from running my loop, mail, picking up my perscriptions and I picked up a few more dvds. I got secretariat, morning glory and Love and Other drugs. Hoping they are all good! Those were some of the ones I wanted from last week that they didn't have. Oh and I got the next three days too. I knew there was one I was forgetting! :) They had a few new ones but they were already checked out.
I think I’m gonna get Love and Other Drugs from RedBox tonight. Was it good? Greg works til 11pm tonight, and I really just feel like staying in. I also plan to go get the game Walk It Out for Wii and a mini stepper to use with it, so I don’t feel bored/weird marching in place the whole time. I hear this game is super addicting 
OK so my DH did the toilet bowl again just now. Colton saw it again and said "The leprachaun is still in the house! Darn Leprachauns don't they know how to flush!" He is currently searching for the little guy under my bed. Now this reaction was better :thumbsup2
Seriously, Colton cracks me up.
Chris, Very sorry for your loss. :grouphug: I'm just making it a group hug because you know we are all sending you one.
I never know what to say in situations like this… but this captures what I would try and say… joining in on that group hug. :grouphug:

Thanks to everyone for all the support and congratulations. I learned a lot this week, Ifell short on all of my fitness goals, but I will keep posting my success.
This is my motivation ---->
10F9251.gif

:teeth: :rotfl: I just go by how my clothes fit. I dropped 4 pant sizes and don't want to gain it all back! :scared1: lol. The hip hop class helps because it's fun for me. :) My motivation is not wanting to gain my weight back. lol.

I used to eat Mc Donald's every single day and Jack In the Box. It's been almost a year now and I haven't eaten at either places. It's pretty cool and surprisingly, I don't miss it. I try to eat things or at places where it's not greasy or oily. Panera, Souplantation, a Greek place near me, I love Persian kabob and it's grilled and not greasy. :)
Rochelle, you crack me up! :lmao: I can relate to everything you said.

I am not at all into sweets, but I LOVE to eat good food. I’m extremely lucky that there are so many delish food options that are healthy. Seriously, apples! YUM. I also found out this week that I really like the combo of blueberries and a few raw almonds… I also really feel indulgent when I have a hard-boiled egg or half a roasted chicken breast and plain (no dressing) romaine lettuce as a chicken salad. Did I mention I love food, LOL… I could go on and on. I also love me some carrots… it is mostly about how my clothes fit, but also my range of motion. I have been a size 4 or 6 until a few years ago. And it is sucky to feel like you’re trapped in a super awkward body. It’s like I have 10 layers of sweaters on and then a tight jacket on top… even in just a tee shirt. And, even worse than that, is looking in the mirror (or photos) and not recognizing yourself anymore. That has been really heartbreaking to me.

So, changing the subject, is anyone doing the Food & Wine Half Marathon (at WDW in Florida, Oct 1st)? I am not a runner by any means, but I am starting the C25K program, and have put this race (at least the relay) as my end goal. Plus, it’s an excellent reason to put a WDW trip on the horizon this year! - Which is a huge motivator to me. I LOVE Disney World!

I also want to say, I am loving the signatures! Love Sarah’s Ariel, Lisa’s Elvis Stitch, and Courtney’s Belle amongst many many others. Jess, let me know when you want to do me another one so I can have 2 amazing options to switch out (it’ll be another Muppets one, but I have a specific character in mind).

:wave2: Finally get to relax and spend some REAL DIS time. I'm gonna see if I can go and backread but I can't guarantee anything!

Just got back from meeting the vet. My lovely horse Rowan has had the stitches removed from her cervix and we can expect a new baby in the next 24-48 hours!

Is that normal for horses to need stitches when pregnant?

Thank you all so much for your condolences and hugs. It does help ease the pain.

I lost my Mom a year ago in January, and my Dad last week. They were married for 65 years and were wonderful role models. Dad lived a very full 94 years. He stayed sharp minded and in fairly good health to the end. I will miss him very much.

It was so nice to be able to have lunch with Beth, the day after Dad died. It was good to experience her support & hugs in person. And it was great to see her, since she missed the Girls Trip this year.
I am looking forward to the diversion of going to WDW next week.

I really appreciate all my wonderful Diva friends. Big Hugs to you all.

 Chris.....

Feel free to request anything at any time if you'd like, even if it's right after I finished one. It's probably best to send a PM in case I don't see it here though ;) I'll let you know how busy I am and when I can make a new one from there, but generally speaking I'm always available to make more.

What a nice surprise, Lisa. Safe travels and have fun!

Change of plans. The weather is forecast to be nasty all weekend and we are under a flood watch here in Sac, so we are staying home. Plus DH has a cold and was up sniffling and coughing half the night. Fun times......

YES!! I'm totally on board with that. I love the Hungry Bear location and we'd sometimes eat there as a family even if the food wasn't great, just because sitting on the back of the upper deck it's so peaceful.
Someone needs to volunteer to go sample some of the new menu and let us know what they think. :thumbsup2

ETA: The more I look at the menu and pics, the more I love this idea. What about meeting here for either the lunch on Thursday instead of Rancho which is good but we've done that twice already. OR meeting here after the scavenger hunt. There is lots of seating, upstairs and down, unless they've revamped it and I don't know about it. I just think we should try and work it in somewhere......

I agree. I always liked Hungry Bear just for the atmosphere.

Cute, Sarah! I never had the patience for crochet or knitting. I did cross stitch for quite a while though.

I think it would be the perfect place to end the hunt.:goodvibes
I've always loved sitting up top and watching the ducks swim by. When my kids were little they threw down bits of their burger buns and loved seeing the ducks fight over them.

How exciting! :cool1:

Anybody crochet or knit? Bernat is hosting a crochet and knit along for Project Linus, with all blanket that are made being donated.

Here's a link to the info.

It's very cool that you are donating it to a worthy cause :goodvibes

I want to learn how to crochet but I don't know if I have the patience for it. lol. I bought some custom Domo plushes that this lady crocheted for me. Here is a pic:

The most recent one I got was the Ninja Domo :) It would be fun to learn how to make scarves and such :)

And the Disneyland kittys are there.

Well, shoot. I'm sorry he got sick. Hope he feels better soon. And hopefully there's no flooding either. That sounds scary.

I know. I love it. Especially when the boats sail by. It's so nice.
When my older two kids were little we had annual passes, and we'd go to DL after school just to hang out, or on the weekends. Since we were there so often, we'd sometimes take sandwiches with us to cut down on food costs, and the back upper deck of Hungry Bear is where we'd always go to eat. :goodvibes

Thanks for passing along that info, Sarah. Your blankets are looking great so far, and what a good cause to make them for.

One time we ordered some chicken for the kids, and they tossed some pieces of it to the ducks. The ducks ate it, and I remember thinking, omg, how morbid it seems for a duck to be eating a chicken!!
After that I told them they should feed the ducks their fries or bun instead. lol

You are so cute with all your Domos. :goodvibes I need to see if I can find you a Vegas Domo! :thumbsup2

Awwwww. I love kitties! I am not a dog person. Sorry to all the dog lovers we have here! :duck: (For the record, I don't dislike dogs, just don't want to own one personally)

But I love kittens and cats. I have never seen one at DL though. Only in DCA. I was sitting on a bench near the Monster's Inc ride and one just walked right up and batted at my fingers. He wanted to play..........or was demanding food. Either way, it was cute.

I've only seen 2 DL cats and I got to pet both of them. They were both very tame.

This one was at WWS. I fed it chicken off my nachos.

Chris--I am so sorry to hear about your dad. You and your family are in my prayers.
