Haven't been on here in a while. I'm a bad Diva. :rolleyes1

Debra - Awwww, I didn't know you were having such a rough time lately and I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. Thinking of you!

Meet and Greet committee member here! :wave2:

I've got to say, I loved the party room at the Carousel! That room was awesome!

But it's a lot easier (and less expensive) to book rooms at the HOJO using their retro rate/AP rate/Disney fan rate. Doing that whole contract signing, room block thing at the Carousel to get a group rate was sort of a pain. What does everyone else think? Thoughts?

Loved the pink too! Lime green on the first day...it's tradition! Must wear the purple castle shirt on one of the days! Black, blue, teal...like. Red...don't like but I'll wear it. :thumbsup2

Thanks. A girl needs to keep somethings quiet. Plus, I didn't want it to turn into a long drawn out bloggie mess. Short and simple is better :cool2:

Oh the M&G last year was great! Sammies instead of pizza was fabulous! You guys did an awesome job! Actually everyone did an awesome job! Mel, Callie, Dan, Steph, the Savvie hunt, and everyone who did things big and small.

Also, I think we need to know the theme. Now. Immediately. Today. ASAP. After all, if we need costumes or special clothing, we only have 8 months left to shop!! *gasp* That's practically no time at all. So, come on, let's hear it.

:p

What? We're supposed to be coming up with a theme?!!! ;)

You're so sweet! I completely agree. Everyone did a fabulous job! :thumbsup2

Good afternoon, ladies! And happy hump day!

I like tie dye:hippie: Know it's not a popular choice.:confused3 Maybe I will make myself a lime green tie dye (even though I might not be able to make it up until the meet and greet.
Hi Monica. That's not a bad idea. If someone really wanted to incorporate tie-dye into the color scheme they could do that. I've seen lime green and white tie-dye tees that are really cute.
Not for me, lol, but it's an option for those who want to. :thumbsup2 I'll still stick with plain old lime green though. ;)

Best thing about a teal shirt is that it will match my hair :rotfl: I love color coordinating.
Wait, are you saying you have teal hair??

::yes:: I agree! Even though I wasn't at the party, from the pics it looked great, and I loved the lanyards, the tee, everything! Everyone always does such a great job.

Smarty pants. :smooth:

I agree with everything you said Deb!:)
Anyone who is thinking they want to skip the M&G, please do not. It is one of the best parts of the entire weekend. I have loved each year. :lovestruc

Capri, wherever the committee decides is fine by me. I have already reserved my studio villa at GCV for four nights. :thumbsup2

And I noticed Hojo's has the Ent Rate for Oct 21-23. Grab it while you can. We will be having quite the Diva Mini Meet that weekend. :yay:

Jess, you are so cute you can wear any color of hair your little heart desires.

Yeah! to those who scooped up cheap airfare.

And yes, it's been HOT at my house too Beth. So hot last night that I couldn't open windows when I went to bed because it was still 80 degrees. But it's supposed to cool down by the weekend.

Oh hey, I know........ everyone has a tie dye shirt, right?? That would be just PERFECT!!!! C'mon, you know you wanna :hippie:

I also vote for tye dye! :hippie:

Yep, kick yourself. :rolleyes1 lol Just kidding. I didn't ask for one either. I only got one because Theresa had the good sense about her to get one for me!! And I am so glad. They are awesome. Hopefully we can work something out for those who need one.

:p

I would actually like another since mine was so big and had a stinking pocket on it (my fault) so my castle had to be moved over. It would rock my socks to have the castle on a pocketless tee that actually fits me lol

And we do have a theme.....:rolleyes1

I did this on the lime green day (had a yellow/lime green tie dyed shirt with a Minnie Mouse head & flower on it) & on the black day (had a black & white tie dyed with a pirate Mickey head on it).

And I agree with Linda~ Please ladies...do not be too scared to attend the M&G....it's going to be great. You will die if you miss it!

and to hog the thread today....

I am really wanting to stay in GC. Would anyone want to room with me to bring the cost down?

Cool. :hippie:

Wendy, Wendy, Wendy. :sad2: Would I lie to you?? Would I trick you with promises of half naked men, their muscles throbbing, holding sweet innocent kittens, just waiting to meet you??
:rolleyes1

Very true, you would never lie to me. :rolleyes1

I hope everyone is having a super day!

Everyone's on pins & needles waiting for the theme to be announced & it just makes my spine tingle!!! :rotfl:

Just my two cents' but I MUCH preferred the Carousel room. But if it's as much a pain as it seems to be, then we can make do with Hojo's room. Carousel was just so much bigger, it was easier to get around and talk to people, and it had the panoramic view of the park across the street.

Aw, that does sound nice. Too bad they require a contract. Wonder how much it would be to book it otherwise? :confused3
I guess we can't decide until they call and see which one or if both of the rooms are open and how much it would be.

It’s called a “cruel irony”, your dependence on us and this theme.....

:rolleyes1

They don't require a contract at the Carousel to book the party room that I know of. The contract is for a group rate and to block off a certain number of rooms. We may still do that though. We'll see. :thumbsup2

Okay, I thought the only way to get the party room was to have a certain number of rooms booked or spend a certain amount on food or something? My mistake! :)

Oh man, I suck at clues. I wanna know.......

Hey girls. Sorry I haven't been around much, but I am kind of an Eeyore lately. Even though it's only been 3 weeks since I've been on vacation, I've got the Disney blues today since I don't know when I will get to go the next time. :confused3

A year ago Dave got notice that his position was being eliminated as of June 30th of this year. He's been applying for jobs ever since, with no luck. I kept waiting for a miracle to happen and as we approach the end of this month it has become apparent that's just not going to happen. So, at this point, there's no vacation in July (supposed to be our 5 year anniversary trip back to South Carolina where we got married) and likely there will be no AP renewal in September unless things come together quickly. I am hoping and praying that I will be able to still set some money aside to do a family trip in early December, and that I might be able to still hit the October mini-meet, but going to a single income is gonna change our lifestyle dramatically.

To top it off, things continue to be crazy at my job. I had a vacant position that I supervise that I filled in May with an anticipated start date of July 1st and the person who accepted the job has since decided to decline the position. So, we are back to square one and having to go through the whole hiring process again. Even doing it expedited, it still takes about 6-8 weeks from posting to hiring someone, so I am just praying that I will have a staff member by the time school starts. Oh, and I had another major job responsibility added to my plate, and of course none of this comes with a raise or promotion. In fact, my reward is a 5% cut in pay and seeing my health insurance premium go up $300 per month. Yay for the joys of working for the government!

Anyhow, it's fun to read along with all your excitement, and I certainly hope that I will still be able to make the trip. Although, I am hoping that there is some way that the newbies (and those who didn't make it last year) can still get the purple shirt. I know Mel is extremely busy at this point, but once her life calms down a bit, hopefully we can check on that.

I'd be tempted too. I am dying to stay there again. Don't know what money will be like though since this is one month after the Half.
