I'd be tempted too. I am dying to stay there again. Don't know what money will be like though since this is one month after the Half.
Sounds Christmasy!Somewhere in the mess of my now red hair there is teal![]()
Hey Jane. I'm really sorry to hear about Dave's job. I remember we talked about that, but the reality of it is a whole different thing.Hey girls. Sorry I haven't been around much, but I am kind of an Eeyore lately. Even though it's only been 3 weeks since I've been on vacation, I've got the Disney blues today since I don't know when I will get to go the next time.
A year ago Dave got notice that his position was being eliminated as of June 30th of this year. He's been applying for jobs ever since, with no luck. I kept waiting for a miracle to happen and as we approach the end of this month it has become apparent that's just not going to happen. So, at this point, there's no vacation in July (supposed to be our 5 year anniversary trip back to South Carolina where we got married) and likely there will be no AP renewal in September unless things come together quickly. I am hoping and praying that I will be able to still set some money aside to do a family trip in early December, and that I might be able to still hit the October mini-meet, but going to a single income is gonna change our lifestyle dramatically.
To top it off, things continue to be crazy at my job. I had a vacant position that I supervise that I filled in May with an anticipated start date of July 1st and the person who accepted the job has since decided to decline the position. So, we are back to square one and having to go through the whole hiring process again. Even doing it expedited, it still takes about 6-8 weeks from posting to hiring someone, so I am just praying that I will have a staff member by the time school starts. Oh, and I had another major job responsibility added to my plate, and of course none of this comes with a raise or promotion. In fact, my reward is a 5% cut in pay and seeing my health insurance premium go up $300 per month. Yay for the joys of working for the government!
Anyhow, it's fun to read along with all your excitement, and I certainly hope that I will still be able to make the trip. Although, I am hoping that there is some way that the newbies (and those who didn't make it last year) can still get the purple shirt. I know Mel is extremely busy at this point, but once her life calms down a bit, hopefully we can check on that.

I think I am just the most impatient one. I don't like surprises.I think you are the only one curiously waiting on the board. Your mirror may give more insight...then again, it doesn't always tell us what we want.
Jen - I would totally be up for that if you could put up with me for another year. I still have to check that I can make it this time but it worked out fine with work last year so they shouldn't have a problem.
You're VBS sounds fun. Madi is at VBS all this week. She has been totally beat and worn out from all the fun they've had each day.

I am not sure about purple castle tees for those who didn't get one last time. I mean, it would be great of course, but Mel is already going to have her hands full with the new group tees, so we'll have to wait and see. If not, then those who don't have an actual castle tee, can just wear a purple tee that day so at least the color scheme will still match. But again, we'll see how things play out.Jane spoke for me as well when she said *maybe* there would be a chance the divas who missed last year would be able to get a purple top...that would be so wonderful. They came out so nice.![]()
I would love to stay at the GC but since I am on a MAJOR budget for this trip, I will have to go with the lower cost option room sharing at HOJO or the CI. I am happy anywhere. I am just excited to be going!![]()

Whew! Sarah, you've got a jam packed few days there. It all sounds fun though. Happy birthday to your daughter and Grandma!Hi all...my baby girl turns 3 tomorrow and I have the day off work to spend a few hours with her and then help my friend with last minute wedding stuff before the rehersal and rehersal dinner tomorrow night. Friday we celebrate my daughter and grandmother's birthdays at my favorite restaurant after the pedicures with the other bridesmaids. Saturday is the wedding and sunday is the gift opening and then I am done with the matron of honor thing. It has been fun but soooooo stressful!
I know, right?? Geez, you'd think they'd just spit it out already. Can't wait to hear about the Meet n Greet theme!![]()
I hope so!!!!Sounds like something evil going on for the M&G.![]()
Jen and Jodi - I would love to share a room with you again if you'll have me and have been wanting to stay at GC. I am hoping to have my daughter with me (and will probably be paying for her share) so we will see. Hopefully they will have a deal going for that time! I'm thinking I deserve to splurge this time since I am not having any more Disney trips this year.

My brain hurts. It's really too bad that you only get one shot at our M&G party....
Good luck!!This morning I am off to a job interview through an employment agency that called me last week from a resume I sent in.
One shot? Hmmmmm....
(Surely you're not referring to the rum!)
