No they absolutey don't. I didn't authorize them to use the card for anything but October's rent.
And the money isn't due yet regardless. First of all November's rent is due on the 1st. The charge occurred on the 23rd. Second of all, the other charge isn't due till I move out, November 30th.
They had NO right to charge my card.
However, ours was OUR fault.
I'm getting ready to remove my OD protection because that $200 in fees could still be in my account you know what I mean. Hubby got paid $700+ and all that's left of it is $400+ because of fees and such. I'd rather have my card be declined and be a little embarrassed than to have $200 in OD fees and have to re-coup it later.
I was really shocked when my bank reversed the charge when I found when someone had stolen my debit card number and charged two plane tickets to Jakarta. I had to Google to even find where Jakarta is.

Just frustrated, which is understandable.
