Disneyworld tycoon APP/game

Installed. Deleted. Typical freemium-ware with gem packs for $100, and 2 hour waits for progress.

The graphics are cute, and I'd definitely pay for a real game, but this is not that.

I'll pass then…i can't lower my iq enough to fall for this type of tired scamming

Is it only available on USA for now?
I'm from Brazil and I can't find the game on Google Play Store yet :(
I think the official worldwide release is only tomorrow, right?

If you've played Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 Mobile, this is pretty much the same concept, except you can't build customized coasters. You unlock characters, purchase land, place rides, scenery and such by completing small missions and getting ''magic'' (the currency) and gems. It's fun to get distracted and play on your way to work, but it's pretty much the same macromanagement based mobile game we all know by now.

I LOVE Roller Coaster Tycoon franchise but I HATED the Roller Coaster Tycoon mobile

Where did u guys find this game? I've been waiting for it and when rteetz said it was available early I tried searching for it. It is not available in my app store.

Thanks rteetz, I did finally find shortly after I posted. So far not too impressed but I'm going to give it some time

So far it's not very dynamic and pretty boring. I'll probably poke at it a bit to see if it improves at all, but I'm content to keep The Simpsons as my go-to for this sort of fare.

Dowloaded it last night and enjoying it so far - but definitely is all about the "quests" to gain magic, etc. and then the next step, etc. I already have the Family Guy game and gameplay is very similar to that

I like the idea of the park guests that you need to make happy by executing the quest they want (meeting a character, etc.)

I'll give it a go for a while but if it becomes apparent you will need to spend decent amount of real $ just to progress normally it will get deleted

Saw Pete and Craig from the podcast on there in the social part so guess they are checking it out

It's on the Google Play Store now so I'll give it a shot, but from the sound of things it's exactly the same as every other sim/builder game on mobile... Makes you wonder why it took them so long to make it.

I really hope the successor to rollercoaster tycoon under development now is a true successor. You buy...you play...your imagination wins.

Life is so convulutes with hidden profit
Profit motive that I don't need to fight it on the App Store.

No idea. I mean this was built by Gameloft who basically stamp these things out on a production line.

Conversely, Disney's Infinity Toy Box 3.0 is probably one of the best free(mium) games I've seen. I checked it out after getting into the AppleTV version, and it's pretty close to identical. You don't need to spend any money to play the Toy Box aspect of the game to completeness. Spark prices for unlocking toy box items, are the same (AFAICT) as for the console versions, where paying to unlock is *not* an option. So the grind is set to real game levels, not freemium levels.

If you want specific characters, as with the console versions, you pay for them, but the price is far (far) lower. The same is true for expansion play-sets. If you happen to own a physical 'toy' character, a code is included in the box that unlocks it for the mobile version.

I'm sure Disney/Avalanche are making plenty of money from Toy Box 3.0, and probably pushing sales of the console version/add-ons at the same time.

This is a huge wasted opportunity, IMHO.

Also, Gameloft. :(

[edit] Oh, and: "it's exactly the same as every other sim/builder game on mobile". This! A thousand times: this! Can someone please build a decent city builder game for iPad please? I'd take a gussied up Sim City 2-a-like, if and happily pay 20 bucks for it.

Yay another RCT freak! :D :yay::cool1:
YES! I still play RCT2 every week! haha my favorite! I hope this new one RCT World to be great! :hyper:
About the Disney's Magic Kingdoms app, I'm playing since this morning and so far it's good, kinda silly/cute but overall nothing new or addictive...

I'm in agreement with others - not sure I like the game enough to keep it. I was hoping that Disney Kingdoms was going to be like Virtual Magic Kingdom oh so many years ago. I miss that game even with the sensor chat. I remember completing real-life park "quests" to get cards with items I could add to my room on VMK. I so wish they would bring that back or like others have said create a RCT type game. That would be awesome. Create a base Disneyland game with all the others parks available as expansions - that way they could make some money off the game. Goodness knows I have spent enough money on the SIMs and all the expansions packs.

My favorite was 3, and when I told people that they all glared at me, but I loved the realism of it! Each of the 3 have their distinct charms though. Little jealous that you play 2 every week, I still have a park that I'm so close to beating but I keep forgetting to put it in my laptop
