Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

The marketplace doors are locked until 7am. I have never seen them open the doors early.
Then I guess you never met my Dad. He's passed on now, but when he was alive, he was an early riser. Mom finally got him to take her to WDW, when they were in their 80s, and he thought it was great that they'd let him in the employee's entrance at 6:30 for his morning coffee. He told everyone how wonderful that was when he came back home. But that might only happen if you're in your 80s.

What a lovely story! 🌻

Hi All! Returning to the BC Dec. 20 - Jan 1, please add us to the list. DH, I, DD (33) and DS(30) DS 30th bday trip!

Just finished booking dining this am. Had ZERO problems. Also booked Starlight Safari at AKL Kidani (this was open before 6 am today), Cabana 4 during our stay for one day, and Fireworks MK Cruise for one day of our stay. Had no issues with WDW-PLAY either.

Any questions, let me know......have a great day all!

Hi all, It's been a bit since I've planned a trip to Disney. Currently in the planning phase for Yacht club. Are all club level rooms deluxe rooms/have a day bed? If no which ones usually do?

Thanks!

The deluxe rooms at YC & BC are no longer club level. They were removed from CL maybe 6 years ago.

Edit to add.. info from the Club Level info on page 1

“Recent Changes (late 2018/2019):

Regular Club Level rooms are now available only for parties for parties of 4 or fewer guests. Families of 5 or more are no longer able to book this category at the Yacht & Beach Club.

Deluxe Rooms, which do accommodate more than 4 guests no longer include club level access and amenities.”

We stayed in room at the BC Club Level with a daybed in June of 2022. It had a balcony almost directly above Beaches and Cream. As I recall, we requested it on check-in and had to wait a bit longer; I don't think you can specifically book them, you just kind of have to hope there's one available.

The daybed works way better for each of our kids to have a bed; one of the reasons I like CL at Poly a lot, their rooms all have day beds AFAIK.

The poster I answered asked about deluxe rooms. Those are not included in club level. I was not commenting on if any club level rooms have daybeds.

Gotcha, I was unaware there was a difference. I do think from their post that they're probably more interested in the existence of daybeds in CL level rooms, but I could certainly be wrong.

Regarding the Yacht Club room confusion @MudEJeep , there seems to be a glitch on the booking site. When you go to book a room and click on the blue "View Photos" link under the room categories, the room categories pictures pop up, along with a menu to toggle between the rooms. The room options are:
  • Standard View
  • Resort View
  • Water View
  • Garden View - Club Level
  • Water View - Club Level
  • Deluxe Room
  • Resort View - Club Level
So, no Club Level for the Deluxe, as @focusondisney states and linked from page 1.

BUT, the glitch is that if you click on the Deluxe Room category to see the room, it wrongly lists it as Club Level below the room pic. Does everyone else see that or am I crazy? :surfweb:

I tried to take screenshots, but the pop-up menu and picture description disappear when I do.

Anyway, no YC CL for Deluxe rooms, but in my experience, the YC CL room had 2 queens and a daybed. Which my kids also love as they'd rather not share a bed. It does seem from the pictures that the rooms with King Beds do not have a daybed. Is that correct?

Yes, I always get a King CL room. In rooms 5227 and 5215 did not have a day bed.

Yep it is broken and it could be for 2 different issues but I can't answer if you are crazy? :surfweb:

The picture shown is the same picture for a regular room and not a for a Deluxe room with the Queen Sleeper sofa for the up to 6 guests and it indicates that the Deluxe room is CL. To be fair the 2 Deluxe rooms did have CL access before late 2018.

We stayed in one of those Deluxe room when they were CL ....talk about a treat! Those rooms were so spacious with 2 balconies.....and to make them even better, they were cheaper than the smaller CL rooms that were on the CL floor. It was a special trip for sure!

No I don’t think that is correct. Many king rooms may not, but I have stayed in at least 1 king room, room 5151, that had a sofa. I’m pretty sure we were in at least 1 other, but I don’t know the number for sure. We’ve stayed YC waterview CL for over 25 years, multiple times a year. So I don’t keep track of which room we’ve been in every trip.

Found the other 1… 5173. This is the YC room view thread on the resorts community subforum. It hasn’t been active in years, but Dee has links on page 1 to pictures & info posters provided.

And also some of the CL double Queens don't have daybeds, or at least that's what the CM's indicated when we were there last.

It's kind of wacky how many different room configurations there are, although maybe that's just a standard hotel thing.

And that's where I am confused. Trying to plan our last big family trip to WDW. Twins are now 23. I thought the day bed option would help the space issue. But how to request that type of room is very confusing.

A regular room with a daybed isn’t a bookable category. It’s just an unguaranteed request no matter what regular room you book. So all you can do is book whatever category you want & then request a daybed.

The deluxe rooms do hold 6 guests, so that will have at least 3 sleeping surfaces. So you could book that. But if you’re looking for a club level room, deluxe rooms are not part of the club level. How many people total are in your party? Y & B do not allow more than 4 people in a room for club level (plus an infant in a crib). If you have 4 people but want that extra sleep surface, all you can do is request it, there is just no guarantee. Both water & resort view rooms have daybeds, so book which ever 1 you want.

What exactly is confusing? Maybe with more information we can give you better guidance.

We are a family of 5 and always get assigned a room with a day bed. You can make the reservation for 5 people and pretty much guarantee a day bed room. Just make sure your fake 5th person is a child so you don't get hit with extra adult fees.
