Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

You can make the reservation for 5 people and pretty much guarantee a day bed room.
This would only work for a Room Only (RO) reservation. It will not work for guests purchasing a Disney Vacation package that includes tickets and/or a Dinning Plan.

We are a family of 5 and always get assigned a room with a day bed.
That's why parties of 5 get preference for rooms that sleep 5. Would you be OK with not being able to get a room if guests had added Ghost members to their reservation and all the rooms that sleep 5 were gone when you went book the resort?

The poster mentioned club level rooms. As I’ve noted a few times, Y & B do not allow 5 people in club level rooms, unless 1 is an infant in a crib.

Gotcha, I was unaware there was a difference. I do think from their post that they're probably more interested in the existence of daybeds in CL level rooms, but I could certainly be wrong.
Yes, it's the day bed rooms I am interested in. Twins are now grown **s adults and the extra bed space would be appreciated. Trying to coordinate 4 different work schedules seems easier than who's sleeping where!

At least those grown **s adults will stay in one room! Mine are prima donnas and I have to book two rooms. I have evolved my enabling tendencies though and I make them split the second room.

Do any of the water view, full balcony, club level rooms at the Beach Club have views of the Epcot fireworks? Or is it just the standard view rooms?

Hi everyone,

I will come back to Yacht Club (last trip in 2019). What do you prefer to go to HS ? Gondola or Boat ?
Sorry for my english. I'm french :)
I don’t know of any Gondola, but I actually prefer to walk to HS from the Yacht Club. If it’s hot or you’re tired, the boat is a great option. Hope you have a fabulous time!

I am not so brave to walk :) .
I live in France north West. It's not hot lol

We rarely take the boat and prefer the Skyliner (is that what you mean by Gondola?)

We love the water, so prefer to take the Friendship boats. They will make a stop at the Swan & Dolphin on the way, but it's proven for us to be faster than the gondolas. You are correct about a gondola to HS, Disney named it the Skyliner, and that is the name everyone will refer to it by.

We would chose to take to Friendship boats. From YC/BC it stops at BoardWalk, Swan and Dolphin, before Hollywood Studios. We normally walk in the morning or evening depending on the weather. All 3 options take about the same amount of time 15-20 minutes.

The Disney Skyliner is our version of a Gondola (max 10 guests per cab) to reach HS you have to walk the wrong direction to the Epcot International Gateway Skyliner station (about 7-10 minutes), switch Skyliner lines at the Caribbean Beach Resort to the HS line.

ETA: fix reference to BoardWalk thanks to @CarolynFH for the correction.

We stay at Yacht Club pretty often. We usually take the boat to the park. But a lot of times we take the Skyliner (gondola) back. Yacht Club is about a 7-8 minute walk from the Skyliner, walking past the Beach Club. If it’s too hot, you can walk inside the Beach or take the boat from the Epcot dock back to Yacht Club. The Skyliner is a relaxing ride with some nice views of the property.

Actually it goes Epcot, BW, Yacht & Beach, Swan & Dolphin, DHS.

From Yacht Club I’d take the boat or walk to DHS. We might take the Skyliner gondola back, though, especially at closing time because it loads continuously and everyone gets a seat, as opposed to having to wait for a boat that’s likely will be very crowded.

We'll be at the Beach Club CL, from Feb 6-13, with a Bounce back offer. We have another reservation at Beach Club CL, from Feb 13-18 with an AP discount. It was cheaper to split the reservations because of the BB dates.
Can I make dining reservations for Feb 13 which would be considered the last day of my first reservation or is this considered the first day of my second reservation?
Confusing, I know!!

This is off topic: Are all Guest Relations inside the parks? Are there any outside? Or just Disney Springs? We have AP certificates to exchange for the real AP.

I purchased 2 annual passes before Covid that I need to exchange and I can't get into any of the parks without them.

When we activated my AP, we just went to a ticket kiosk at the park entrance.
