Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

Staying at the YC for the first time this Dec! Since we are going with a convention, we have a standard room. Any suggestions on the best rooms in that category to request? Looking for convenience #1 to lobby and/or EPCOT!

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1 of this thread.

:cool1:

There are not many King beds at the resort, but it never hurts to ask- make sure this is added as a request to your reservation. You must call in your request to Disney's Central Reservations Office or if you booked through a travel agency, they must do it. Based on your requests, a good way to word this would be "Close to EPCOT, please. King Bed if possible" I don't think there is any way to place these requests through online checkin.

:goodvibes

Thank you!
I ended up wording the request to be near the Beach (Quiet) pool. I figure anything that puts us near this pool is also near to Epcot. I used the room fax request from Touring Plans also. It worked like a champ at Poly a couple weeks ago. Crossing fingers it works for BC too. I decided to leave King bed off the request since really, location is first and foremost this trip.

:confused: Very strange...I just called to add my room requests of Full Balcony and Upper Level...and the CM told me that Beach Club only has Juliet Balconies...no Full...she even put me on hold to check...So I ended up with only having Upper Level placed as a request...Anybody??? :confused:

I am still trying to catch up, but I had to say this pink to blue made me lol. You sounded like Merryweather in Sleeping Beauty!
Must finish this thread before you start one for the fall!

:welcome:

Do you have an upcoming trip? When?

No rush in finishing up or catching up on the thread. I will be starting a new one as this one approaches 250 pages. I haven't had confirmation that is the current page limit, but the last thread was shut down without notice, and I have not been able to find out what the actual page number limit is, so I will be on the safe side this time.

Call back!

::yes::

ETA: and what Sailormoom2 said too. Add this as your online check-in request. I would do both.

Close to lobby will be closest to EPCOT, so I think that "Close to lobby" is probably your best request.

Full balcony is listed as an option ON THE ONLINE CHECK IN FORM. Use that from your MDE account instead.

Call back!

::yes::

Okay...will call back and have them REMOVE my request and just make it on the online check in form. Thanks. Just...grrr...strange...I'm stressed planning for FP reservations (which I have no idea how to do)...so I thought at least this one would be easy. HAHA...my luck. ;)

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE SEPT'S!!

You asked and Ninja Mom delivers! Here is a sneak peek at this month's Mr. September. He's single (obviously) so start lining up ladies!!

I edited my response to say do both. Call back and add Full balcony. The CM you spoke to (and whomever she talked to while you were on hold) are both mistaken.

When do you make your FP Reservations? I'll post a link or instructions for you. The process is not bad at all. I did it for 150 people in June for a 3 day class trip in June.

The only stressful thing is worrying about not getting the popular attractions (Anna and Elsa meet and greet and 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, maybe Fireworks and Parades). Everything else should have decent availability.

Okay...calling back and stating to the CM that according to the online check in request it states FULL BALCONY. I make my FP ressies tomorrow at midnight. Thank you! I appreciate any help. We haven't been back to WDW since 2010...so this is all new to me. SCARY.

If you are in another time zone, remember you can make your FP+ resv starting at what ever time is EQUIVILANT to midnight Eastern Time...so, if you are in Central Time, like me, you could start at 11 PM....just in case you didn't know that. Good luck...it's not hard...just be organized and remember to select the option with the time of the most important one of the three, then you can go back and modify the other two...hope this makes sense.

:thanks: I am in Pennsylvania...so midnight EST it is! I'm feeling nauseous worrying that I will some how screw up. I wish they had a mock practice site to play with. I know this is not a "fastpass" thread...but another quick question...is the strategy to first book fast passes your last day and work backwards through your vacation?
