Does anyone have a picture (or at least a description) of the clothing storage in a regular room at WL? We've always stayed at CBR and those rooms have three big drawers under he television and a much larger drawer under a bench so always plenty of room for our family's clothing. From what I've seen in pictures there is less space and I don't know if I should bring something along.

Here is the link to post #3 on the first page of this thread. You'll see that there is a large dresser under the television that has three large drawers. And the cabinet that holds the refrigerator has two small drawers.

We are booked in December 2015 and were also really looking forward to the marshmallow toasting on the beach -- and, it is free !! But the alternative, FW's roasting is not free.

I am a bit daft, the alternative marshmallow toasting is not free to WL guest?

Unfortunately the marshmallows are not free at the Fort; however, it's a little different. You can buy the s'mores kit at the Fort for around $10 - graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows. It's actually quite a bit....enough for my 3 kids and 2 grandparents for 2 nights AND you can see Chip n' Dale at the Campfire Sing-Along - which is free - while you enjoy your s'mores. It's really lots of fun for the family.

Could anyone list the current snacks offered during the day in the CL lounge? Actually just need to know if goldfish are still there - my DD loves them. If not, I will pack them.

Thank you, michael's mom for posting the letter so quickly! With your stay being this month and not after the start of the DVC expansion in September, it seems that they will in fact be starting some prep/road work this month. I wonder why a construction end time wasn't given, only a start time of after 0900

They offer gummi bears, chips/dip, Goldfish-type cracker, rice cracker assortment and cookies.

I was wondering the same thing! Hopefully my north wing request happens and we're okay. I've been looking forward to this trip for so long (as we all do right?) and have always wanted to stay at WL. I just hope this is only a little annoyance and not something that interferes with our day.

I wouldn't panic - yet. With only the trail behind the Teton Boat/Bike rental closed (according to the letter), that would indicate that they are only beginning prep work for the project that starts in September. The trail leads to an access road between FW and WL that they will need to use to stage equipment in an area between the road and VWL/Teton. They used this area for staging when they were doing the WL pool rehab. On the WL DVC Expansion thread, we speculated that this would be the first sign of the beginning of construction and this is the area that would be impacted first.

We also received the letter today. We are arriving on the 25th of August. With the construction not slated to start until sometime in October, would it be likely that there will be any type of compensation offered? My TA did not think that there would be anything for guests staying in August/September.

I also got the emailed letter today. My check in date is 8/1. We're early risers, so hopefully this won't really impact us greatly...time will tell.

I just called the 800 number on the letter and spoke with a very kind cast member "Sanchez" and he thought it would be best for me to speak with someone right at the resort because they would know better about where things would be happening and how to help prevent us from hearing too much from our room. He connected me (and gave me the number to call myself) and it ended up being a fax number . I tried calling thinking he clicked the wrong link to connect and nope...fax line. So...I called the 800 number again, spoke with Susan who was just as helpful and gave me the correct number to call. (407) 824-3200. I spoke with a CM at the lodge and she said that the work will be done in the Hidden Springs area at the Villas and that as long as we're in the north building we should be fine. But, that because we're still more than 10 days out, she can't add any requests to our reservation (didn't even ask for our reservation number). I'll call back on the 18th and see what happens.

Ok...that makes sense. I've already added the north wing courtyard view through the WDTC so I should be fine. I'll still call back this weekend to triple check

I got my email today too but it's different than the one posted above. I check in Dec 11/15 so my email included the closure of hidden Springs pool, beach, marina and playground.

Thanks for the info I will ring WDTC first thing tomorrow here in the UK and see if we can have a request added to our booking for a North Wing 5th floor room if possible, no way do we want a south wing room.
