Is there a bus directly to Typhoon Lagoon from WL?

No, to get to TL you have to take a bus to Disney Springs then transfer to a bus to TL. It's sort of a sucky setup, but the only way with Disney transportation. We personally prefer to rideshare/taxi/personal vehicle when it comes to the water parks. The bus transfer routine isn't awful, just makes the trip longer than it should. If you do take the bus I'd recommend changing to dry clothes before heading back - you can freeze in wet/damp bathing attire on Disney buses! :-)

Shout out to the people who decorated their doors on the fourth floor of Copper Creek last week! My 3 year old granddaughter excitedly anticipate seeing the birthday door and the princess door and then the bear by our room. We are going to decorate our door for our cruise to help her find our room.

Hello All! Need the groups input on a choice of location between Poly studio and Wilderness lodge club level studio. DH loves the club level (especially for pool days!) but kids worry they will spend all their vacation riding on buses. Any opinions! (oh, and I'm supposed to ask for opinions on the WL pool . . .) Many thanks!

Boat to MK would be the same thing. WL would have it's own bus to other parks, Poly usually shares with GF. Advantage to Poly would be walking to TTC for the monorail to Epcot.

Hello, We will be staying at Boulder Ridge in September for the first time and I have a few refillable mug questions.
1) Where can mugs be refilled?
2) Do they still have the metal insulated mugs available or just the 50th plastic mugs?

There are two refill stations, one at Roaring Forks in the main building and one at Geyser Point. :)

This thread is amazing - help please !
1...has anyone heard if/when boat to WL from CC will open? We are coming for Mother's Day 8 & 9
2... do the cabins have a washer dryer?
snagged a Cabin for my DH bday which happens to be Mother's Day this year. Bonus win.
We aren't doing parks - just gonna relax.
What is your favorite thing about CC?

1. Unsure about when the boat from WL to the Contemporary will return. I haven't heard anything about it yet
2. Yes the cabins have a washer and dryer. They give you a small amount of detergent but since my group had a car we picked up a bigger bottle from Publix beforehand.

Enjoy the cabins! They're amazing and you can see the fireworks from your cabin depending on which one you get. We were in cabin 24 and had a perfect view of the fireworks right from our hot tub.

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR - omg that must have been amazing.
Thank you for your reply.

I heard North side has better firework view - South side is better for Boat parade. Eeeek I'm just thankful we snagged the cabin
with all the crazy #'s lately.

It was really amazing - we didn't even bother going into the park for fireworks. Missing the projections is worth enjoying them from the comfort of your private cabin in a hot tub.

In cabin 24 we had a perfect view of the boat parade (which begins at 9:30 pm) which was nice as well. In 2020 we did a resort stay in the cabins and I believe we were in cabin 8 and our view only consisted of the Contemporary and the monorail. It was still very relaxing to do a morning soak in the hot tub and watch the monorail go by. I'm sure you'll have a great time in whichever cabin you're in, they're spectacular rooms :)

Speaking of the cabins... I don't think I ever shared this, but I might have so could be repeating myself.

Last year we awoke one morning to find a mother turtle doing her thing right next to the screened in porch. We lost track of how many eggs she dropped, it was a bunch! Kids (and adults) thought it was so cool. She eventually filled in the hole leaving barely any evidence of what had occured.

Sometime the next day we walked in on this guy. My 6 year old was just old enough to understand the circle of life occuring - still not sure she's over it. :-)

I don't own DVC but those cabins are the closest thing to making us give it a second thought that we've come across in our Disney travels. Such a wonderful time.

On the boats...not sure what you mean by boat to WL from CC. Copper Creek is at Wilderness Lodge. No boat needed to get from one to the other because they are the same thing. Also, Boulder Ridge Villas is also part of the Wilderness Lodge resort. If you mean Fort Wilderness, which is the campground where like Hoop Dee Doo and the Tricircle D Ranch are, the boat between Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge has not started back up, and no idea when (wish they would start it up...lovely way to get between the two). There is a bus between Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge.

Also, you probably already know this, but just in case. Copper Creek at Wilderness Lodge has cabins and Fort Wilderness has cabins. They are two very different things. I have seen people get confused by them, which isn't hugely hard to do. The Copper Creek cabins are on the edge of Bay Lake and are gorgeous. The cabins at Fort Wilderness are basically Disney mobile homes, which are cute, and fine if you want to go glamping, but they are no where near the same level as the cabins at Copper Creek. They also are no where near the same price point.

Do you know if these are open all night? Some of them get locked in at night, while some are in open areas at other resorts.

They lock them up at night. Roaring Forks locks its doors and the beverage area at Geyser Point has the roll down shutter that closes everything after the restaurant closes.

Our first stay at WL was in 2003, was just going to stay on site once to try it out, we were hooked. Many of our stays since then have been at the lodge. Looking forward to checking out the refurbished rooms, but concerned that they don't have the same woodsy vibe that they used to have. Curious what others that have been staying at the lodge for a long time think about the "new" rooms. Thanks

We stayed in a refurbished room and it still has the woodsy vibe. The cute little animals on the headboard are gone, but the colors and decor are still there. :) My only complaint about the refurbished room is the lack of a towel rack in the sink area. They have two hooks instead. But otherwise, the room is nice. :)
