I was there in November and did not find it dirty at all.

Has anyone visted POFQ recently? I am excited to visit next November, but I got nervous when I read a few reviews saying the resort was dirty. As anyone had a bad experience recently?

I was there in December and didn't see anything troubling. Did the reviews you read mention specific areas of the resort that they thought was dirty?

We were there mid December and had a great stay! Our room and the resort was very clean. I'm actually headed back there in April.

There was a post that someone got a 30% TA deal for Nov, so you may want to look at some of the Disney TA's.

I was also looking on trip advisor and someone posted a review saying the hotel was dated and dirty. I am fine with dated as long as the rooms and bathroom are clean. I am glad to hear more good reviews!

Does anyone know how late the pool is open right now? We will be there next week, and are hoping the pool stays open later than last year. Last year at this time, it was closing at 8:00pm. Thanks!

Pools close at 8PM now until Spring Break season.

Pools close at 8pm now until Spring Break season.

I was told 10am-9pm for this month by one of the recreation managers at Port Orleans, but these things change regularly of course.

Our room was slightly dated looking. You can tell the resort is getting close to its scheduled rehab time but it was not dirty at all. The ammenities and location make it my favorite moderate so far. The room looked identical to the room I stayed in at riverside back in October and better than the room at Coronado springs I stayed in last April. It was of course no where near as nice as my fresh out of rehab room at beach club, but it was just as clean!

We were there in November and it was spotless....room, walkways, pool, courtyards. The foodcourt got a little messy in the mornings but that is too be expected with everyone rushing to get to the parks. They had plenty of CMs tidying around enough that it didn't get really bad. You won't be sorry.

Where are the smoking areas at POFQ? I want to be sure to avoid those areas! I had a room that opened out to the smoking area at CBR last fall and is was the only negative I had about the room. It was a nice sitting area, but we could never use it because of the smokers, and also had to inhale fumes when we went in and out of our room.

I'm so excited for my first stay at POFQ! I've been reading portorleans.org, watching videos, and looking at pictures to get me super excited for my stay! I also set up a fax request with touring plans so I'm hoping to get my choice of location. Just 13 days to go!

PP regarding smoking....The smoking areas tend to be around some of the fountains and along the river. Checkout www.wdwinfo.com and look under resorts, I think they have maps for all the resort with maps.
