Resort Thread Disney's PORT ORLEANS FRENCH QUARTER Resort

We have a couple of early park openings to hit in January. Does anybody know the hours of Sassagoula's breakfast - and perhaps how late they are open for dinner or late snacks? TIA!

The food court opens at 6:00 but only the bakery section & grab n go (cereal , juice , beverages) are open. The rest of the stations open at 7:00am. If you don't need a hot breakfast you can always get the cereal, juice, etc. a day before and eat in your room on days you are going for an early opening

The food court closes at midnight for getting bakery or grab'n'go items the night before, so you can make a quick getaway in the morning.

Could someone kindly tell me if the boat or bus would be better if I want earl of sandwhich? I need my holiday turkey sandwhich but my feet sure hurt! Thanks

I prefer the boat. Nice, relaxing ride.

I should add - our room was close to the boat dock, so the walk to the bus stop was longer. That might have factored in to our decision. LOL

Thank you! I didn't realize the drop off for the boat and the buses are right next to each other! We went with the boat and I agree, it was nice and relaxing.

My room at POFQ is almost paid off....I can't wait to stay here come March! Are there handicapp accessible rooms in all buildings? My friends husband requires one so that's what we booked and I was just wondering.....

Does anyone have photos to show of the NEW kiddos splash pad that just open up.
Wanting to see it I should plan a lot of downtime there for my little one in a few weeks.
Thanks!

Can't wait to be heading back to my favorite moderate resort in 25 days :cool1:. This time around it will be just my BF and I (no kids and no DHs this trip). She has never stayed at POFQ and I am excited to show her why my family fell in love with this resort. We will be there from 2/1-2/5 and we are booked in a River Room. I just did our online check in and I put in requests to be closest to transportation and first floor, I am hoping to get Bldg #5, but anywhere will be fine too.

Unless they are ahead of schedule it isn't open yet. The latest photos I have are from 27 Dec:

First time not camping: Can you buy laundry detergent in the POFQ laundry area or should we bring our own?

We typically use liquid so we were thinking of just putting some in a water bottle (we are driving, not flying).

Thoughts?

The laundries do have detergent available, but if you are driving just bring your own.

Has anyone visted POFQ recently? I am excited to visit next November, but I got nervous when I read a few reviews saying the resort was dirty. As anyone had a bad experience recently?
