Considering staying at Pop on our next WDW vacay & wondered what kind of music they play at the Bowling Pin pool? Since it's in the 50s area, do they play "oldies" music? My husband & I would love that if they do :). TIA!

So will the Skyliner be running early enough to get us to DHS to get through security/tap stiles and ready to to join BG for ROtR? We arrive in 7 days and heading to DHS on the 16th. At least we have time to monitor this. If not guess it will be a Lyft trip for us.
Unless they start running earlier than they have been, no.

I just called guest relations and they said that when the Skyliner is not operating they will have buses every 20-25 mins. for those wanting to go to DHS early in the morning or for whenever the Skyliner breaks down. She also said the same goes for all Skyliner resorts (phone CM so you know)
They really need to have this feature on the app. Just a simple word like “up” or “down” so people know where they should be heading.

POP FB group I am in said they were on a bus this morning at 5:32AM to DHS.
I am referring to the Skyliner, not the buses. The Skyliner has not been starting until 7am, which when the park opens at 7am, is not early enough to get there in time for RD.

I hope that means that Skyliner will start running by about 6:30 a.m. (or earlier) or that buses will run more frequently than once an hour for the hours that Skyliner isn't open yet (like from about 6-8 a.m.) for PPO ADRs and getting to Star Wars land early.

Called again just to get a different CM, was on hold for 20 min. She confirms that before Skyliner operaating time which is currently 7:30am there will be buses every 20-25 min to DHS. Only once the Skyliner opens will the one bus per hour go into effect. She also confirmed that all skyliner resorts are doing the same

Sorry, I don't trust a word a phone CM says. The "20-25 mins" thing is their standard talking point about buses.

@yulilin3 thank you! Have been monitoring the thread about BG’s the last couple weeks too. We may just be taking a Lyft on our DHS day to be there early enough. Going to keep watching throughout this next week and good to know we have options.

but FWIW we posed that question to multiple management CMS at all the Skyliner Resorts and ALL said bus service would not change.

Only time will tell.:)
Looks like time has told!lol :)

(Above quote was from May 29)

Could "combined routes" with POP and AoA be next?

No, the Skyliner will not be running early enough to get you to DHS for rope from. It never has.

50’s music for sure! It’s played around a lot of the resort.

Yes,they play "decades appropriate" music in each section and then a "mixture" in Classic Hall and on the buses.(nothing like listening to Bob Dylan on a Disney bus at Midnight returning to POP from Magic Kingdom!). :)

WE LOVE staying in the 1950s and sitting at Bowling Pool and listening to Elvis and other 1950s artists!

Um, because that's been the standard interval for years and years? And years?
I mean about continuing bus service in the interim. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if phone CM's had no idea bus service is being reduced.

The skyliner was running at 6:30am every morning Thanksgiving week. I’m not sure why that stopped, but I’d imagine it could start running that early again at any time.

They are not even "advertising" the DHS and Epcot buses at POP.
