I don't see what's conflicting. Are you saying the info you quoted and TP's info conflict? If so we would need to know what it says on TP. I refuse to visit that site though. Some King rooms have a roll-in shower, some don't.

TP's site shows 4th floor are "ADA Compliant" while on 1-3, they say "roll-in shower" and "WC accessible"

OP says some are standard/standard (not for disabilities), while on TP map I can't find the standard ones on any floor, but all have some level of Disability accommodation.

We're not interested in requesting a disability accommodated room when we don't need one.

We're just trying to locate a 50s or 60s, upper floor, Standard King room without a roll-in shower. Any help would be appreciated.

Putting together our request for our later trip. This statement is confusing to me. I'm using Touring Plans to try to see which room to request, but the info seems conflicting to whats listed here.

What type of room category are you booked? That will make a difference when you are looking for a room.

Just a thought Since you only have 81 king rooms to choose from that are king non HA, personally, I would recommend that you don't make any other requests. Kings are VERY hard to get anyway and once you start narrowing it down by a specific era, a specific floor, etc, then the room assigners are limited to finding you a king room IF that is your most important request.

As you are looking for a room, keep in mind that when it says Florida ADA compliant, this does not mean it has a roll in shower. There are other rooms that are ADA/HA accessible for those that are hearing impaired or sight impaired. Those would be ADA compliant but no roll in shower. I believe that if it has a roll in shower TP lists it with a roll in shower. If it doesn't have a roll in shower, it simply shows Florida ADA compliant.

Most king rooms are handicap accessible. Some of the ADA compliant rooms have tubs, but they also have handrails around the tub and toilet. the toilet seat is also a little elevated, just like the ones in handicap restroom stalls. We have to request roll-in shower rooms for my elderly mom and have been given the ADA compliant room before, which is not what she needs. The room will only have a shower if it says "roll-in shower". Judging from our experience, all other handicap accessible rooms just have handrails and elevated toilets.

I just learned yesterday that one of my H.S. classmates (we are many years out of h.s. now) just got a job and will be working concierge at Pop. I haven't seen her since, well, graduation, so it'll be great to see her again when we're down. In 73 days (who's counting? I mean, other than me! )

The 5,000 series building in the 60s meets those requirements.

The closest buildings with standard rooms would be 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 10.
Buildings 1 & 3 are going to be in the era with the bowling pin pool and building 4 & 5 are going to be in the era with the Hippy Dippy pool. Buildings 6 & 10 don't have a pool in that era but they are both very close to the Hippy Dippy pool. Here is the map to give you a layout. The standard rooms are the locations not highlighted.

We got back from a nine night stay at pop last night. It was our first stay at pop, second stay on property (A OA)
We were overall very happy with the room and resort. Our tv didn't work, but we never ended uo watching it and forgot to report it! Sorry whoever stays there now I hope they fixed it first.
We were in room 358 in the 70s building. Room was clean and in good condition except for a bit of peeling wallpaper in the bathroom I didn't notice until mid week. I ended uo moving the table to the left of the tv to make room for me ECV and it was fine! My husband used a chair as an end table, since we slept one kid each and he wanted the outside side. We had breakfast and some snacks at the resort, all were pretty good. I think the food at art of animation is much better and the food court MU CH. Quieter due to better design or furnishings. We didn't have mugs in stock for the first few days which was frustrating! We had free dining but if I had paid for it I would hope they gave them for free or discounted. This was the crossover to the new mug design. There was no clock, which was annoying. I heard disney is getting rid of the alarm clocks and adding usb outlets, we had neither. The faucet was strong and splattered water all. Over the counter, where we had originally plugged in some phones! Oops. We didn't do that again.
We asked for three more pillows and they came quickly, mousekeeping was great and moved my kid's stuffed animals around every night, which they adored. We were only at AoA three nights before but they never did anyhting. All in all an excellent stay! I am sure if I wanted to be in the hotel 60% of the time I might have wanted a more posh place but I think pop had everything we wanted and would go back again.

OH one issue, and this is a big one, is that the disabled door button going to the pool and rooms from the food court did not work. I was usually with my husband but I discovered on our last night that I couldn't get the doors to open when I was alone. Luckily nice people opened the door for me! I didn't complain to the best since we were exhausted and leaving but I am sure they are aware, due to so many people using scooters on property. It's not ok that it was not repaired fast, I heard it had been broken for awhile from home one else.

FYI, the Touring Plans room finder is extremely inaccurate when it comes to details like this. So much so I stopped using it and stopped recommending it.

I would word your request just like you have it above, "50s or 60s, upper floor, Standard King room without a roll-in shower".

Building 5 is directly in line with the food court, so closer to the 89s/90s

The food court is on the left side when looking at the resort on the map. But I think the 50s buildings are a tad closer to the whole main building. If you are trying to figure out which area is closer, the 50s is.

I have attached a different pdf map, at the bottom of this post, that my be easier to help you determine which looks closest to classic hall for you.
Truly, the difference in closeness for standard rooms to classic hall from buildings 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 or 10 are minimal (+ or - 1 min). The standard rooms with the landscape view in building 6 and 3 may be a little closer than the back side of building 4 or 5 but again + or - 1 minute and definitely not enough to worry about.
The furthest from Classic Hall are building 2 in the 50's and building 7 & 8 in the 80's/90's.
