I liked the rotisserie chicken meal, the make your own salad, and the salmon burger. DH likes the pizza and the sesame chicken. I did not like the tuna sandwich or the burger, but my husband liked both of them. DS liked pizza, hot dog and hamburger, but that's his stuff, LOL.

For breakfast, I had the kids breakfast platter (one slice bacon, one sausage, scrambled eggs and potato casserole) and I thought it was a good size portion, even for an adult.

Thanks for the info on the kids breakfast platter. I was planning to get that for breakfast when we go on the days we don't have an ADR since I'll be paying OOP for breakfast. Glad to hear it's a good size, and since I'll have a mug I still get my coffee :) My son still remembers the mac and cheese from AoA, I am hoping they have the same at POP or we'll walk over to get it I guess!

Can we park at the resort until the evening on our check out day? There are reports that the DHS lot is being inundated and closed late in the day and check out day is our day to go to Disney Springs early and then to DHS. Is there any problem with leaving the car for a while after we check out?

All of your credits are good 'till midnight so I'm sure you are fine. It's a big parking lot. My SIL (local) visited us at AoA over Spring Break and we didn't have any problems.

If you are going to Disney Springs keep in mind the buses from there don't go to the Parks. If that is the case, you would have to return to a resort to go to the Parks. Although, if you are going to DHS you can got to Boardwalk, The Yacht or Beach Club and ride the boat over to DHS. A fun short trip if you wanted to stay close and do something different. Parking does not seem to be an issue at all at POP but I think their closer sports are time restricted.

I was thinking of heading to the YC/BC. We can check out the decorations either coming or going too.

I'm still thinking about just driving to Disney Springs and leaving the car there after we eat and shop. I hate to leave a car in that garage when I'm not actually at the place though. Plus our luggage will be in the car and it just seems like it would be safer in the Pop parking lot.

Yup. You are considered a guest of the resort until 11:59PM on check out day. So you can use all the resort amenities until then; parking, the pool, etc.

I love POP for several reasons. Great resort for the grand nieces, great staff, best bus service and the resort is priced right allowing for several visits each year. Plus AOA is a ten minute walk away. With The Osborne Lights ending and Soaring closing for a while I am trying a short solo trip the 13th to the 16th. It will be different (solo) but POP will still please I'm sure. After several mods and off site visits we found this resort the funnest and best way to go especially at the value pricing it affords. I would rather stay here 3-4 times a year than 1-2 times at a mod or deluxe and I have free hotel options as well. Plus you can visit any mod or deluxe. My one wish is to add a works bar in the food court and room microwave ovens.

I am currently at Pop and just wanted to let everyone know they are very close to having the Hippy Dippy pool fully fenced in. The baby splash pool and Bowling Pin pools have already been completed. Don't know about the computer pool as I haven't ventured over to there. There aren't band scanners to get into the pools.

I'm sad about them closing in the Hippy Dippy pool. I loved the openness of it.
How does it look? so they're not adding a band scanner?

Does the Bowling Ball Pool seem exceptionally busy now with the main pool closed?

Yesterday I fully paid off my February nine day stay at POP! :teeth:

So excited to be going back and also having my significant other with me who has only experienced Animal Kingdom, And has never stayed on property (They're either going to Love Disney or thoroughly be disgusted with it by the time we're through lol).

We saw one large group from Brazil at HS Monday. We also encountered the POP cheer groups at MK. No issues with either as far as I could tell. They were better behaved than a lot of small groups we saw on the same days ;)

I'm a little sad too but for safety it will be worth it. We were talking with a CM when we were there in September and they said people often swim during thunder storms even though the pools are closed. I know the fences are being put up for many reasons but this was one I hadn't considered.

We arrive Sunday. I'll try to take pictures of the fenced pool areas and post them on this thread.

We may possibly stay at Pop the first few nights of our trip in Nov 2016- I was wondering if anyone knew of rooms close to the bridge to AoA with a lake view. I like water and was thinking a lake view would be nice although I understand there is no room type of Lake View at this resort. Thanks for any help :goodvibes
