Thank you for all the great information on this thread.
Is there any benefit to catching a bus to one of the parks from the TTC over the Poly bus stop? Do they come more frequently at the TTC? We will be in the Hawaii building. Thank you!

The benefit we found was that you don't have to stop at any other resort. Also we stayed in the DVC rooms and will again this year and those rooms are a short walk to the TTC.

Avidly following this thread- my husband and I have visited the Poly but never stayed there, and our first stay (as DVC members too!) is in 39 days!

Super excited to see you can order 'Ohana as room service-sounds like a perfect cozy night in!

Hi! We fulfilled our bucket list wish this past July and stayed with our 2 girls at the Poly! It was AWESOME and went by waaayyy to fast! I understand about the Twilight Feast, but I have to say, we went to 'Ohana for dinner and it was AWESOME! We had a great table with a view of the castle, and TONS of food. They accommodated my allergy perfectly and my daughter who does not eat any meat or fish was give a vegetarian option. And both girls loved the coconut races - and they were so cute and funny to watch! If you can swing it, and want to really enjoy the whole food experience, I say go to the actual restaurant ('Ohana) and eat instead of eating in your room. You're on our vacation - go out and enjoy if you can! We will definitely be going back - for breakfast and dinner - it's a new favorite!:tink::stitch2::mickeyjum

We'll be back at the Poly in just a few days! :hyper:

Does anyone know the monorail schedule for next week? I'm assuming it's still a modified schedule?
We have a PPO breakfast at Epcot on Monday and a PPO breakfast at MK on Tuesday so I'd like to have a plan in place.

Love the advice, @DisMomof2Princesses- thank you!! Loved reading about your experience. We actually have eaten there once before, this past October- we were lucky enough to snag same day late reservations. Totally agree with the "you're on vacation- go out and enjoy if you can!" but I think this time we might love a late dinner in our pjs, watching Mickey cartoons!! Like being cozy at home in the happiest place on earth!!:tinker::dumbo:

Here's a screen shot of this week's Times Guide (8/6-8/12). The 'modified schedule' is mostly a thing of the past these days, except occasionally you do see a day or two a week that might have a later start on either line. Like this week, the Epcot line has a 9AM start on Monday vs. 7:30AM all other days. The week before didn't have that late Monday start, so things can/will change week to week.

Make sure to pick up the current Times Guide in the lobby that covers the dates you are there. This is a helpful link to bookmark as well: http://www.orlandoparksnews.com/p/weekly-walt-disney-world-times-guides.html

Hope that helps!

For those of you staying Club Level, We found Lipoa!!! Those of you who have been to O'hana in the last 15+ years have likely seen the beautiful entertainer. Well, she was recently removed as the entertainer at O'hana, but she is still at the Poly. We found her in the club lounge serving and cleaning up. I wasn't sure it was her at first, so I asked her if she had worked at O'hana. She said yes. I asked if she was the entertainer. She said yes, but there was a catch in her voice. I had to hug her. :( I told her she had entertained my daughters at age 2 and at age 5. She apologized that we had to see her not at her best. I told her she was beautiful. (and she is!) She said that though she was sad by the decision she was still blessed to be able to see some of her fans.

I didn't realize she was no longer at 'Ohana. That is too bad as she really brought the Hawaiian feeling to the restaurant and was great with the kids. I am glad that we were able to see her on our quick trip this past May.

@Gus V. , not to sound like a doofus, but are you saying one order of the Twilight Feast is enough for two people? I'm really excited about this!

It is definitely enough. We fed my family of 4 with it. Granted, my kids were 4 & 6 so they don't eat as much and eat whatever we give them. The noodles and veggies alone was way more than enough for them. :)

Anyone who has been to the Poly recently recall the cost of beer and wine? Would like some for our room in the evening and trying to weigh the pros and cons of buying it there or doing grocery delivery based on onvenience and cost effectiveness.

The gas station you pass (I think it's speedway now used to Hess) sells beer. As you leave the poly parking lot and come around the magic kingdom parking lot it's right there can't be to much by cab or uber. They sell beer at real world prices, Disney is expensive.

I was there a couple of weeks ago. This should help:

I dunno about you, but I'd have to be pretty desperate to pay $16 for a 6 pack of Coors Light.
