Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Information & Questions

I read in another post that some resort GIFT shops sell cases of bottled water (24 pak) and thought that the Poly was one of them. Prices were about $7.00 a case. Can anyone tell me if these might be available at the Poly? And which gift shop?

OR where can I find the Gift Shop phone numbers to check on this? I've Googled, but no luck.

We arrive (9 in our family) in 3 weeks and I was going to order bottled water to be delivered. With that many of us, we'll be drinking lots of water during our week stay. It sure would be nice to just pick up a few cases on property.
You do know you can get water free in any QS location?

Hi everyone :wave2:

Can anyone who is there now or has been there since they've fenced off the east pool please answer this question for me??

Is there a clear (no steps or obstructions) path from the GCH to the Hawaii building that I'd be able to use while in an ECV (electric scooter)??

Just wondering, because in the past there was a set of 3 or 4 steps between the Hawaii building and the old volcano pool, so I'd just go around the east side of Samoa to get to the GCH, bus stop, and the path to TTC. I think I read that now there are no more steps between Hawaii and the lava pool??

Thanks in advance!! :flower:

Sea spray, we just arrived today and there is definitely a nice clear pathway. No steps, and quite wide -you should be fine!

Also, just wanted to let everyone know that they are still using the first floor garden view rooms -we're in one! And I had requested third floor, so it's not just because we specifically requested first floor. There is still a decent buffer of grass, then the walkway, then the construction fence. Can't figure out how to post a picture, but I will when we get home. Everything is great so far!

so our family is going down in December. I've been reading several web pages (tikiman etc) and I need help with longhouse suggestions.

Seems the east side is the way to go to avoid construction ... Fiji, Tuvalu, and Aotearoa are the best bets. I read about possible noise from the Luau cove. How loud would it be and when does the luau end?

Fiji looks like fun .... any other comments or suggestions?

Guess as a backup... Niue as a west side backup?

Thanks for all the help!

We stayed at Poly Feb., 2013 and I remember being shocked that they had case of Daisani water selling for $15.00!!!! That was at sundries shop up on second floor of main bldg.

Yeah, I'm a little disappointed, but it's okay. just happy to be here!

Glad everything is going well. Isn't the resort looking beautiful??

I wonder if they gave you 1st floor b/c the view is better? On the 3d floor, you'd be looking down on the construction (out and over the fencing). On the 1st floor it is mostly blocked by landscaping and that covered fence.

What is the best way to get to/from the HDDR? We will have our car, however, if we still need to take the internal FW bus it may be easier to take a boat. (Is there one that goes from poly to FW?) This would also allow us to have more sangria. What about a cab? Where do cabs drop you off?

Option 1: Boat or monorail to MK, Boat to FW.
Option 2: Monorail to CR, Boat to FW.

Do fitted sheets come with the crib, or do I have to bring one?
They provide bedding for cribs.

Thanks, and ugh! I have something that can only be charged via a USB, and did not want to take a laptop for the week.
I brought down a portable charger in our last trip, mainly so I could charge my phone in the parks, but they have a USB port.

Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

Sorry that you didn't get your 3rd floor request, but glad there is somewhat of a buffer between the patio and construction for first floor rooms ;).

Oh, and the lobby smell is back! Not sure how much that matters to anyone else, but I missed it!

This is great to hear, I love the smell of the Poly lobby! :goodvibes

Yes, the resort is gorgeous! Took a long walk this morning and it's 100 percent improved since February! There's only one walkway that looks to be partially blocked by the east pool construction (I think it's just outside of Samoa?), so walking around is easy and quick.

Sat out on our patio this morning too, and we really like being on the first floor-you definitely have more leg room, and there's nothing blocking the view (fencing). Still like third floor too, this is just better than I originally expected.

As far as the monorail, for this week the reduced hours are just on monday and Tuesday. Not sure if that will continue or not.

Any other questions, just let me know!
