For us dole whip lovers, dd sent me a pic of herself eating a dolewhip swirl cone she got at Vero Beach. I didn't know they were available outside of The World.

She transfers to OKW tomorrow but will be visiting the mono resorts for sure.

We have a small, seasonal ice cream shop in our town that serves all kinds of ice cream including Dole Whips and while I've had them several times here at home, I've never tried them at The World :upsidedow.

We are back from a quick one night stay in the Bungalows. We had a bumpy start but it was still great! Here is a lengthy review:

I enjoyed reading your review, as well as RRB's. As far as items and some trash being left behind by previous occupants, I would have definitely brought it up in a nice way, as you did, to the hotel's staff. Staying in a bungalow should be a magical and as-close-to-possible-as-perfect visit. There should actually be a dedicated bungalow concierge. Glad you had a wonderful stay!

Thanks! Yes. That was our thought as well. I expected everything to be perfect. This was a real splurge for us and it was definitely a downer in the beginning. But the manager was very understanding and it was smooth sailing after.

I've read on other boards that November reservations have been hard to come by everywhere, and Ohana dinner is definitely one of the more popular choices. But definitely keep checking. And you can always sign up with one of the notification systems if you don't have the time/patience to keep checking yourself.

What is this notification system?? Never heard of it. :confused3

Yay for Dole Whips!! We were in a big marketplace in town a couple years ago. And stopped in my track when I saw the big sign for Dole Whip!! Who knew??? Of course we had to have one! Quality control ya know!

another pic from the bungalow......
I am considering a bungalow for my 50th birthday party with family. My only concern was the bedding. Did you say that the pull down bed was in the guest room and the living area? Any thoughts on the quality? Not sure I understand the idea of a bungalow sleeping "8" but only 2 proper beds. Seems a bit odd to me...

There are two "real" beds. One in each of the bedrooms. Then there is a pull out couch in the living room that would sleep two more. Also a single pull out bed in the living room and another single pull out bed in the front bedroom.

We had 6 adults - 2 in the master, 2 in the second BR and 2 in the pull out couch. We didn't use the pull down beds. both master and 2nd BR were great. The pull out couch was OK (not great, not bad). Don't know about the pull downs. Thinking back, I should have laid on them for my report.

Hello everyone. I had a question with respect to the noise level when staying in a room on the western side of the Fiji longhouse. For anyone that has stayed there before, can you tell me whether or not the sounds from the nearby Spirit of Aloha Show are overly noticeable when in the room at night with the door closed? Thanks.

If you book through orbitz, does it change your address to some new address (for magic band shipping) in MDE? This is my first time not booking through Disney and I just linked tickets in MDE and I went to customize our magic bands and it had a shipping address in Chicago! It also already had a card listed in my name (so now there are two). We last visited in 12/2014 but no one else in the family already had a card listed. Anyone else experience this?

Haven't used orbitz, but I recently used a TA for the first time and it put my address as somewhere in NJ because that is where the agency is based. I changed it back and all was fine.
