Is that Poly’s new Irish dinner show opening this summer? :goodvibes 😇:duck:

DIS tidbit of the day for any newcomers - never say O’hana or Ohanas on the Restaurant Board.... they aren’t very nice about those kind of honest mistakes over there. Don’t ask how I know. :rotfl:
Check out the spelling of ‘Ohana on the reserved sign for our rented patio at the Oasis Pool lol, and yes, my name is Irish.2DE6CA33-F461-4B97-9D27-88A9DD1D8E3C.jpeg

How are the hair dryers in the villas? I’m packing for my trip on Sunday and am trying to figure out whether to leave mine at home.

I have thick hair. The Disney ones are good. They have the attachment thingy for those who like the more direct flow too.

That's what I'm afraid of. Which is why I've avoided even taking the offered tour. 😃

So we tried to do DVC Bungalow tour last August. Figuring that the DVC people would be at the DVC lobby in Pago Pago, we took the Monorail to the TTC, found no-one in Pago Pago, walked to the GCH, where we were told they must be out at the Bungalow, so we walked all the way back as the tour was the Bungalow closest to the TTC, again finding no-one around. Being that it was August and about 100 degrees out, dying in the heat, we gave up and quickly decided that we weren't too interested in buying into the Polynesian DVC. We like staying there a lot, but will stick to fall/winter.

Now we also toured the 3 bedroom at Riviera, 3 bedroom at Animal Kingdom and a cabin at Wilderness lodge, which yes ruined all further studio room stays.

Yes the Hawaii Longhouse has an elevator for guests. The main lounge is on the 2nd floor with the 1st floor have the concierge desk. There is also lounge space on the 3rd floor.

Note: all Longhouses and the GCH have an elevator the only exception it the Niue Longhouse. For access to the second floor at Niue you can use the Rarotonga elevator and walk across the upper deck connecting the Rarotonga Longhouse to Niue.

ETA: note...

Thank you for the reply. We are looking at doing Club Level (whenever they start that back up) and my mom is coming along too. She might take a scooter since she back surgery (and is still improving well) but long walks might be hard for her. Do any of the Club Level rooms offer handicap rooms?

Strange question.....do you know the room numbers?
Nope fair question. I only know 3 specific rooms in the HA category all located on the 1st floor. 1530 would be closest to the Concierge desk, elevator and main entrance. HA rooms: 1517, 1529 and 1530 (has a roll-in shower). The are also all Garden View.

Note: 1529 connects to 1528 and 1530 connects to 1531.

That was extremely helpful. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

I just swapped my stay next week to a Poly studio from coranado, with the monorail station being kaput are they running busses to MK? Or are they just telling everyone to walk to the TTC? Thanks!

The DVC longhouses are the closest to the TTC on Poly property. It’s maybe at most a 5-10 minute journey from the furthest DVC longhouse depending on how fast your group walks (5 minutes being at a pretty normal pace, but without young kids/strollers/mobility devices).

Admission to the pool is by Magic Band. No resort reservation, your Magic Band is not going to open the gate.

My concern was non-poly reservation people using the pool and that effecting the pools capacity numbers. In the past they did not check, all you needed was 1 poly guest to open the gate. Was wondering if every person entering is being checked against a reservation.

This week I think if a Poly reservation was attached to your magic band you could enter through the gates at the Oasis pool at the Poly. One day one of the gates was malfunctioning and would not open to Poly guests.

They are running buses to MK. Very frequently, in my experience.

The Poly resort launch boat is also an option, FYI.

Enjoy your trip!
