Oh, I'm heading down for a long weekend over Thanksgiving. Staying at the Grand Floridian (yay!) and now I want Boca Chica! Looking forward to this trip - doing the Candlelight Processional on the 25th (a first for me) and the Christmas Party on the 27th (done only once before, way back in 2015).

Random report...had a lovely meal at Citricos recently. I really love that place - it's one of the best all around packages right now... beautiful setting, fresh menu, great drinks, spot on service. And consistent. Just bring a sweater because it's cold in there!

My most recent server was a Narcoossee's castaway. I haven't kept up if a reopening timeframe is known (???) but she seemed to think it would be well into next year, although as always take that with a grain of salt.

We ate at Citricos in September too and also loved it!! I got the Tilefish because I thought I remembered you saying it was good on another post about Citricos lol...and whether you said that or not, I really liked the Tilefish! DH got the NY strip and said it was good but that next time he would get the Filet because although good, he wasn't super impressed. I regretted not getting the corn soup that some friends ordered and will likely get that next time! We also asked about Narcoossee's and were told the same time frame that you were told so maybe that is correct?? I can't wait to see the new Narcoossee's, but I hope it won't be too long! I was really hoping it would be ready in time for our New Years trip.

That is correct. You’ll be asked to select which contract you want to use when you make the booking. Just check both the 150 and the 50 if you need 160 points. (It’ll say 1st and 2nd depending on the order that you click them in - if you have a preference on which one is used first, you can choose at this step.)

If you’re ever unsure, you can always chat or call MS, but will make sense once you see it online.

Citricos has always been my favorite signature on property

I hope I can appreciate Narcoossee's more post-refurb

I will also add that the DVC website is smart enough to take any banked and/or borrowed points from a contract before touching current UY points of a different contract. I was pretty paranoid at first, but the contract activity summary makes it very clear where all the points are going.

You might also want to consider eating at the bar at Steakhouse 71 over in the Contemporary. Great food, nice atmosphere and a decent amount of seating in the bar.

Yes dh and I were at GF 12/31/22. We had cl but checked out Citricos because it was gorgeous. They also have a full menu. ER just updated their menu as well.

I ran down prior to mnsshp last month to grab an espresso martini for dd . The bar was bigger than I expected!

YMMV, but I have yet to find the bar full in my travels. It’s a great option in my experience. I like sitting at the bar over the smaller lounge tables if eating as you sort of have to hunch over to eat at those tables. Good for drinks and light apps though.

I’m a little bitter as they wouldn’t let my 12 year old sit at the bar (despite having done so multiple prior times) when I tried over the summer, but perhaps a good thing for the adult crowd.

I used to travel a lot, so the bar for dinner is usually my spot. I’m one of those that’s okay with teens sitting at the bar, as long as there’s space for me.

Okay, not to get obnoxious with suggestions, but I also like sitting at the bar at Tambu Lounge over at the Poly. It's upstairs next to Ohana. They have appetizers only (similar to Enchanted Rose at the GF) but the apps at either location can be a light meal. I particularly like the wings and potstickers at Tambu Lounge, and I like the casual bar atmosphere in that location at the Poly. I think they open at around 4. Enchanted Rose at the GF doesn't have food until 5. Of their appetizers, I've only had the flatbread. It was pretty good. ER has an outdoor terrace which is nice if you want to sit outside.
