Does anyone have dates for when the Electrical Parade will be featured at DCA this year? We are looking into a trip in late Sept./early Oct., and my kids have NEVER seen the Electrical Parade (although they've been heavily exposed to "Baroque Hoedown").

It's doubtful that the Electrical Parade (in DCA) will be shown in late-Sept. or early-Oct.

The Electrical Parade will be scheduled to show every night between Friday, June 12, to Sunday, August 23; and then it should show on weekends until Labor Day. The Electrical Parade is usually dark from after Labor Day until Christmas/New Year's.

But in late-Sept. or early-Oct., fireworks and Fantasmic should be showing on the weekends.

Hope this helps. :earsboy:

Thanks! I'm gonna have to do a day trip some day during the summer, just so the girls can see it...

I know it's not on the June schedule yet, but any ideas as to what time the DEP will start based on past showings?

Not to hijack the thread, but does it show during December? I was hoping to see it during our trip but we're going either the 1st or 2nd week of December.

Based on previous years, it seems unlikely that the DEP would be shown during the 1st or 2nd week in December.

Usually the DEP is dark from after Labor Day until Christmas/New Year's.

In 2007, they started showing the DEP on Friday, Dec. 21.

Here's the calendar from Dec. '07:
(The calendar from Dec. '08 wasn't working.)

Oh, thanks--I never knew that!

I guess I always think of it as a summer thing. The music always reminds me of sitting there with a light summer breeze on my face--finally cooling off after a long hot day and enjoying the lights. :goodvibes
