Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

As a couple in their 40s with no kids, I can promise you almost all of WDW is geared towards young children. ;)

Besides, it's only the Tower that has no bathtubs, the rest of the resort is very family friendly.
Actually, it wasn’t that long ago that we traveled to wdw as a couple in our late 30s without a kid. I didn’t develop that perspective until recently when I traveled to wdw with a toddler. It’s not as conducive to ppl with young children as you may expect...long fp lines, long security lines, long waits for transportation, etc. And, what I meant is that lately it seems when something nice & new is built, it’s aimed at adult travelers. I find that disappointing.

I disagree, but such is life!

I guess my only point is I’ve done it both ways & it gives me a new perspective. It’s disappointing when you realize one of your favorite places is no longer really designed for you. :(

I tell people all the time WDW is no place for little kids. They look at me like I have 3 heads....LOL.

Disney made it known from day one that this tower was geared towards convention guests. They never at any point tried to hide that. CSR has been our go to resort for years and I've always felt it was the most adult orientated resort. Although kids do really love the pool area. It's probably the 2nd best pool on property next to Beach Club.

That’s disappointing. I find more & more aspects of wdw are not geared toward families with young children.

We took my 3 year old nephew and 4 year old niece. With regard to the rooms with no tubs, we stayed in one and the kids actually loved the shower. It worked out fine and was not an issue for us. So while the lack of a tub may be a deal breaker for some with small kids, its not necessarily geared towards adults since it can work for anyone. Its really just a preference thing.

But, I don't disagree that Disney is challenging for those with small kids. This is the exact reason my parents waited until I was 10 to take me for the first time. Older kids hold up better to the challenges of heat, long lines, waits, etc. If you take younger kids, as we did with my niece and nephew, you have to manage expectations and go at a slower pace. It may not be the best for maximizing your time or dollar, but its the only way to make it not so challenging.

i just really think the tower should have their own dedicated bus service separate from the rest of the resort

Why should the tower have its own bus service instead of bus service being increased around the resort loop in general? The tower is not a separate resort, it's a component part of Coronado. Tower guests should not be treated in a preferential manner over other resort guests just because they want room doors that open to hallways instead of humidity.
