Would booking a "preferred room" be my best bet for being far from the construction? That's what I originally booked, but the cast member I spoke with didn't specify if that would be "standard preferred" or "water view preferred" (are they separate categories or are all "preferred" the same?)
Distance from the main amenities is not a factor for me, but having something nice to look at when I leave my room is--so I switched to a "water view" room (and saved $150.)
But a few days ago I was watching a video tour on
youtube of the current construction, and saw the last building in the cabanas area is REALLY close to construction. According to touring plans, there's about 21 "water view" rooms in that building, and I'm worried we could get one of them.
I phoned in a request for the Casitas section, but since I know that is just a request and isn't a 100% guarantee, I'm nervous.
Our stay is in mid May, and we'd likely be arriving at the resort around 7 pm, so I also worry it's late enough there would be less availability to request a room change.
So, if being far from construction is a priority for me, is booking a preferred room my best bet? Is "preferred" all one booking category, or is there a separate "water view preferred?" Thank you!
