Does any one know what fireworks are seen from csr? We stayed here before and never saw fireworks. Last night around 9:45 we saw fireworks and we were very surprised. Last until about 10:10.

I was there a few weeks ago, and it was the Frozen ones from HS. We were in a water view room in Casitas 4 and had a PERFECT view from right outside our door! It was a beautiful surprise!

We saw the frozen fireworks last year from right outside our door (2nd floor) at cabanas 9B.

does anyone know when the cabanas for business class will be refurbed? i booked for may next year, wondering if it will be happening then, or if we will get newly refurbished rooms

A BC CM told me in April, they were starting with cabanas for the referb.

I think plans have changed a few times. Latest word seems to indicate starting in Casitas 4. They probably figured if the Fitness center, spa, salon and pool were all getting done they might as well start with that building and keep construction to one area.

Does anyone know the timeline for the room refurbishments? We are going next June and are considering CSR.

That would make sense. The rehab should be starting soon. Can't wait to see pics.

Online check-in question . . . Will we have the option of "bypassing the front desk" this September? Also, staying in BC here, will we be able to access the lounge immediately upon arrival (for breakfast) using this method without having an actual CM activating the magic bands?

I don't have any pictures, but we were there in December for 16 nights. What did you want to know?

Just booked CSR yesterday! Going in October, and so excited!! We have never stayed here, but it was the first resort we actually had booked and then discovered renting DVC, so we never made it. We got a great deal I couldn't pass up. Trying to read all these pages! We booked standard, so we will end up in Ranchos or Casitas 4 or 5, right? Are there any standard rooms in Cabanas? We normally rent a car, but DH is thinking of making this a full on budget trip and skipping it. Bus service does seem to be pretty good here from most accounts, actually sounds better than at the Boardwalk! How is the Maya Grill? I'm reading a lot about Pepper Market, but little about the grill. We don't fly in until 5, so we are debating making a reservation for that night. Does it get busy?

We LOVE Maya Grill and often go for dinner even when we're staying at another hotel! Dh and I get the fajita skillet for 2 and just love it. It doesn't come with guacamole, but we always ask for it and they bring it for no extra charge. Service has always been top notch and the restaurant itself is quite lovely. If you are there from Thursday to Sunday, there's a wonderful musician who walks around playing popular songs with a latin flair! We've been there when it's busy and when it's not busy. If there's a conference on during your trip or it's just a generally busy time, I would make a reservation. Have fun!

There are standard rooms in all of the buildings, including cabanas. You'll be fine without a car.

We are staying in Business Class in September. Does anyone know if there are any connecting queen rooms in that building? I know the likelihood of connecting rooms in low, but if they don't have any I'd know for sure our odds are zero

50% of the rooms at CSR are connecting but in BC, there are no queen/queen connecting rooms. Only King to queen.

Does anyone know the location of the Junior King Suites? We have one booked for September and are hoping to get to be in Casitas.
