Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

Hi!

I'm planning on taking one of the early tours at MK during my upcoming trip. Does anyone know how early the busses to MK leave from CSR, and if it's possible to arrive at MK by around 7 am using the CSR busses? Thanks!

Buses start rolling at 6:30AM. If you want/need to be at MK by 7, I would take a taxi over to the Contemporary and then stroll on over to MK.

Thanks, can you call a taxi from the front desk? Or would I have to call the night before to reserve one? Do you know the approx cost?

We've never stayed at CSR, but I can't imagine it being any different than CBR, POR, POFQ, etc. We always call Bell Services about 20-30 minutes before we want to be picked up and tell them what time we'd like the taxi to be there. It's been our experience at the other resorts I mentioned that we get picked up at our building.

It will probably be about $16-$18.

Buses start before 6:30am. I've taken them to MK for a 7am ADR. They start early enough to get you to MK. Just inquire at check-in

Traveling in a week to CSR. Which building is closest to "Food court" are for a standard room? I hate having to walk 20 min to refill my mug ;) what is "food court" called at CSR?
How do I request a specific building ? Can I do that at online check in or do I have to fax?
Not picky otherwise - TIA :)

You can find a resort map on the first page of this thread. Casitas 4 or Cabana 9A would be the closest standard buildings. The food court is called Pepper Market. BTW, you can refil your mug at Siestas at the Dig site pool when it is open, and it serves breakfast in the mornings. Handy if you're stuck out in the hinterlands. If you want to make a specific room request, call it into the main reservation line.

Ok thank you that helps a lot! Is Siestas a bar or what ? Can you get soft drink mug refills there? Thanks for the reply !

I just said the same thing on another thread- I'm not going to stress if I don't get Cabanas, knowing that Siestas also serves breakfast.

We have used taxis numerous times from CSR. You won't need to reserve one. Just goto the front and tell the bellman you need a taxi. Most of the time there are a couple waiting in the parking lot. We've never waited longer than a couple minutes for one to come. We've taken a taxi to the Contemporary a few times, it's $15-$18.

Hello all! We stayed at CSR two weeks ago for two nights. We were in Casitas 2 facing the parking lot (which was super convenient since we had a rental car). I absolutely loved the resort. We didn't spend much time there but the girls were able to swim for a little bit the morning we checked out. The decor in the room was beautiful and the size of the room was fabulous! We've eaten at Pepper Market in the past. The walk around the resort from the pool was very peaceful and not terribly long. It was neat seeing the fog rise off Lago Dorado in the early morning. I just wish the rooms slept five people. We are a family of five and would love to stay here with the whole family (there were four of us on our trip when we stayed here) without needing to rent two rooms.

Hey all! We just got back from a 2 night stay(1st time ever)at CS and got to say, it is our fave mod by far. The only other mod we have never tried is POFQ, but I have a feeling CS will get our nod from now on. Its a hidden gem IMO. There were lots of cars in the parking lots, but it didnt feel crowded, in fact we saw very few people for such a big resort. We were in bldg. 7, so it was a hike to the front, but with an AP discount, the walk didnt seem so bad. We ate at Maya(which we have done a couple times before)and Pepper Market, both really good. I was amazed at the amount of choices in places to eat, lots of amenities, almost as much as a deluxe resort like The Contemporary. We will def. be back!

I've heard that conferences here could impact quite a bit- could someone direct me as to where I can find out if there will be one during our stay? TIA

I would like to know if my thinking about this is wrong. Isn't it a good thing if there's a conference going on? Whether or not there's a conference, the rooms will be filled, or close to it. I'd rather have those rooms filled conventioneers than other families? I'm assuming that would mean a lot less people on the buses every morning. Plus, I may eating dinner at the resort with my small children around 6 pm, and I'm assuming those people will be eating at a later time. I've also seen others say negative things about seeing people walking around in suits. I just don't see where that would affect my vacation at all. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'll find out next month when we're staying at CSR for the 1st time.

Meh. There were conventions going on every day of our 8 night stay. How did I know? Because some of the guests were in business attire and dragging around rolling briefcases. The only impact it had on my stay was the moment or 2 that I spent feeling sorry for the poor things who had to work while we were enjoying our vacation. Other than that, the only time I really noticed them were a couple of times when a large group of them had congregated at the Laguna Bar.

If seeing groups of people in business clothes is going to adversely affect your stay, then by all means avoid all of the WDW convention resorts.

There were conventions on each of the days we were there, too. I will say the same thing. It didn't impact us at all. We saw a few people outside with lanyards and walking around looking at cell phones, etc., but that was about all we encountered. I don't think the conventions, as a whole, are all that bad. Grainger used to show up there, and when that happened, it was not good. But I believe they have moved their conventions. Thankfully.
