The McDonald's on property has inflated prices. It also does not have a dollar menu.
Good to know, thanks.

This will be our first time staying at CSR. Background:
We've always stayed at WL in the past, and next to the toaster are condiments- butter, salt, toppings for burgers, etc. Well, during breakfast, there's cream cheese. Just wondering, because it would be one less thing to pack. Also, we'll have the DDP, and will have refillable mugs.
I'm planning on bringing our own breakfasts, stopping by El Centro to toast the bagels, grab a cup of tea or coffee, and head out to the parks straight from there without going back to the room.
If I bring bagels, is there a place in El Centro that I can toast them? Is there cream cheese available on the condiments table?
We will have Disney refillable mugs, but will we have to use them (have them with us and put the tea in the mug) to get (hot) tea? Again, I would like to leave straight from there, but don't want to have to go back to my room to drop off my mug, and don't want to carry it all day. In the past, I've just grabbed a to-go cup of tea, and said my mug was back in my room, and they were ok with that at WL. Should I expect different at CSR?
I just read Kathy Werling's walking tour of CSR and it made me less excitedShe specifically mentions that it is her least favorite resort on all WDW property. Someone, please get me excited!!!! I'm bummed we're going from a deluxe to a mod, but I thought CSR had so much to offer.
Also, any pointers - online check-in, or not? Any rooms better than others? Should I put in a request, or just go with what I'm assigned? are there any rooms/buildings to avoid?
I'm 21 days away and getting excited and anxious because it's a new resort and it feels like a whole new destination!
TIA!
All the moderate resorts have toasters and microwaves in the food court. They've all had cream cheese in the past as well, but someone who has stayed more recently should answer that.
I seriously doubt you would be able to get a free cup of tea by simply telling them your mug is in your room. That's why they put RFID chips on the mugs-to stop the cheating.
Your room request depends on your priorities, maybe you could give some details. You can be close to the food court/main building in preferred casitas 1, 2, 3 or in cabanas business class 9B. A 5-7 minute walk in standard rooms in casita 4 or cabana 9A,8B and 8A. Ranchos and Casitas 5 are pretty far from the lobby but closer to the main Dig Site Pool and Siesta's pool bar/food. They are also very quiet and remote if you like that. touring plans web site has a very detailed map and even pictures of the view from every room in the resort:

I've visited or stayed in all the mod and deluxe. This resort has much more of a deluxe feel than the other mods, it is quieter, a little less "Disney" esque but personally, I like that. I get bombed with music and characters and craziness at the park. This is a really nice place to relax. Also has more restaurant choices than the other mods. I think you will like it since the WL has a very similar quiet laid back feel to it also.

There will be cream cheese but for what I have seen in other resorts it is not at the condiments table but in the refrigerators for sale. The cream cheese is always included when you buy bagels at the food court.
Hope this helps.![]()

Ranchos area lovers, do you rent a car or rely on Disney transportation?
Is Siesta's pool bar still serving breakfast or was that just for the holiday season?
We have just booked to stay 4 nights in the business class rooms. We will have 2 teenagers and I thought the breakfast would be great for them. Any recent visits or views to tell me how it is? Also, would you still get a refillable mug for them?
Thanks![]()
I was just checking pricing for an October trip. Why would a room that is categorized as "king" be more expensive than one categorized as "preferred king". I was thinking of booking a king room but now I'm confused with the different options.
Second question. Do you still need to tip at pepper market? I've read conflicting info.
Third question. Can I get a milkshake anywhere at CSR
One more question. Sorry, it's my first time staying here and I'm getting excited. Is there a good place to find out when there might be conventions going on here?
I've been looking at that site all morning and I didn't realize there was a drop down menu for"home". Then I found the forums and some else asked the same question I did about the king rooms but it didn't sound like Buzz knew the answer. Also found out about the room refurbs that are gunna be starting soon. Didn't know about that.No to tipping at the Pepper Market. It works just like any other food court now. Google Buzz and Coronado Springs. He lists conventions there.
